The Room - worst movie ever

Search brought up 200+ hits on "the room" so my bad if this has already been posted.

My friend saw something about this movie on the news. In LA and NYC its becoming a midnight movie sorta thing with people going to see it seven times. We picked it up on dvd and watched it tonight and its prob the worst movie ever made. Ive seen Plan 9 and Dwar. This shit makes Uwe Boll movies look good. Its worth checking out with friends for a laugh.

The dude with the black hair writes, directs and stars. After the negative reaction he decided it was a comedy and claimed it sucked on purpose.

I can't conceive how anyone could think this was acceptable directing, acting, or producing by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe he really didn't mean for it to be a comedy but goddamn... You'd think someone would say something before this shit was finished

Seriously, you find out that the director's a dumbass, but what can you do? You can't just walk off the set. You've got a contract.

was this movie written in high school or something? ive seen 14 year old girls do a better youtube production than this. shit, the AVGN is ten times more production value and he does everything himself and edits using 2 VCRs

It's because they shot in New York (or something) and it's supposed to take place in San Francisco. The movie is pretty amazing, I highly recommend going to a screening (it still plays once in a while in most major cities), or figuring out how to get a copy and watching it with friends. Just don't watch it alone, I don't imagine that'd be any fun.
