500 Days of Summer

Got to see a screening of this last night. Really good movie. I think those who lurk around the "Girls who broke your heart thread" will sympathize with this movie.

This is one of the several movies Joseph Gordon-Levitt has coming out. I really like him and checked his IMDB page awhile back and saw this and so I've been waiting for a bit to see it. Unfortunately it's not playing near me.

He is the best actor in his age group. I look foward to this. Wonder how he will work out as cobra commander.

Opening of trailer reminds me of Garden State. Getting tired of Zooey Deschanel for some reason, can't explain it, she's overrated. Love Levitt though so I'll see it

I find her sister extremly pretty(The girl from the show Bones). As far as JGL I normally dont care for the guys acting but he looks good in this.

I love the sisters for the most part. Emily is indeed beautiful.

If you live in the L.A. area, as of this morning you could still RSVP for a free screening tonight at the ArcLight on the movie's website

Fox Searchlight - 500 Days of Summer - Official Site

Just hit the "attend a free screening" link on the right below the banner. There might be for other areas, I just checked L.A. though.

Huge JGL fan since I saw him in Brick. The Lookout was also very good. I'm not at all interested in seeing G.I. Joe, but I'm curious to see how he is as Cobra Commander. Anyways, definitely going to check this flick out. I like Zooey a lot and this bit from Entertainment Weekly's review of 500 days of Summer has me salivating.

Saw it tonight, it was really good I thought. It mostly avoided that forced feeling that most movies trying to be clever and hip fall into. Good performances though and pretty consistently funny if not amusing.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
When he's quitting his greeting card job and he's holding the card with all of the hearts on it and he says, "If somebody gave me this I would eat it" my girlfriend and I laughed pretty hard but nobody else in the theater made a sound. Was a sold out showing too, am I crazy or was that not funny? Or did he not say that and did we both hear it wrong?

I laughed at that part pretty hard too, same thing when the dude starts clapping. The part of the movie which I thought was genious was the whole Expectation vs. Reality. I couldn't stop thinking of how many times I've pictured my life that way

Ditto. I tried to tell my girlfriend Zooey is on my laminated card, and she informed me it was on hers first.

Zooey is cool, but Natalie Portman just got 10x hotter for me after I read her bio on IMDB.
