Antichrist

Weird there's no thread on this.

The movie has Wilem Dafoe in it and supposedly will be some of the most weird shit you've seen, directed by Lars von Trier. In Europe and especially Scandinavia it has gotten quite some attention so far. It's one of those movies that divides people into two - loving or hating it.

Supposedly eerie, dark and utterly disturbing. The opening scene with Dafoe and his wife lasting about seven minutes with opera music in black and white could have been romantic, but while this happens their kid falls out of the window and the wife is afterwards devasted. Dafoe's character is a shrink, and he decides to take upon the sessions with his wife himself. They flee to the forest, which apparently is a place where his wife has some relations. As that happens, the shit starts to hit the fan. This does sound relatively boring in its setup, however I suppose it's worth the watch with "all" the media going on about it.

this movie got booed in Cannes by everyone at the end. dunno if thats good or bad but getting booed isnt usually a sign of a hit.
