+13 Internets | I've been watching a lot of documentaries about Peak Oil and related issues. Here are some that I thought were excellent: The End of Suburbia Crude Awakening The Future of Food Crude Impact What A Way To Go (poetry on video) Blind Spot In Debt We Trust I.O.U.S.A. Small warning about peak oil; the more you know, the worse it gets. Crude Awakening Trailer: Last edited by BigMovieBuff; 08-10-2009 at 08:28 PM.. |

Also lol that he made it around the world without a single traffic accident...untill he made it to Calgary. Yes people, my home town has the world's most retarded drivers. I can give places like India a break on traffic because the rules of the road just don't really exist. They exist here just fine, only problem is that no one cares. | |

+13 Internets | I watched the Christian Hosoi documentary last night and enjoyed it a lot. I worked at a skate shop in the mid 80's, so it brought back a ton of memories. Thanks for the recommendation. |

| fast, cheap and out of control (i like most all errol morris films) Fast, Cheap & Out of Control (1997) man bites dog is a funny as hell pseudo-documentary where they're following around a serial killer ,,, highly recommended - its one of those movies i tell anyone i give a shit about to make sure they see it... uncensored version out there with a rape scene, no idea which is on netflix if any. its essentially making the same point as natural born killers but it is way more intimate and engaging to the point that it nearly looks real (not stark just not sensationalized)... but it does get wacky C'est arrivé près de chez vous (1992) ![]() grizzly man is a werner herzog doc of this crazy fucker who was making an outdoors living with bears show and gets eaten by a rogue bear (with footage). Its more about the media and egomania that is required for someone to go through that, but shot beautifully IMDb Video: Grizzly Man Last edited by Horse; 08-15-2009 at 03:13 AM.. |

| If you're a fan of the 80's skate scene, Rising Son: The Legend of Skateboarder Christian Hosoi is pretty good. Narrated by Dennis Hopper. Grew up skating in the late 80's and was a big fan of Hosoi. Rising Son: The Legend of Skateboarder Christian Hosoi (2006) |
