Moon

I apologize if there's already a thread, but the search function turned up nothing...

Anyways, the trailer for "Moon" finally came out, and it looks pretty sweet.

Quote:
Synopsis:
Sam Bell is nearing the end of his contract with Lunar. He's been a faithful employee for 3 long years. His home has been Selene, a moon base where he has spent his days alone, mining Helium 3. The precious gas holds the key to reversing the Earth's energy crisis. Isolated, determined and steadfast, Sam has followed the rulebook obediently and his time on the moon has been enlightening, but uneventful. The solitude has given him time to reflect on the mistakes of his past and work on his raging temper. He does his job mechanically, and spends most of his available time dreaming of his imminent return to Earth, to his wife, young daughter and an early retirement. But 2 weeks shy of his departure from Selene, Sam starts seeing things, hearing things and feeling strange. And when a routine extraction goes horribly wrong, he discovers that Lunar have their own plans for replacing him... and the new recruit is eerily familiar. Before he can return to Earth, Sam has to confront himself and the discovery that the life he has created, may not be his own. It's more than his contract that is set to expire.

Sam Rockwell is in it, will watch.

Though, from the trailer I think I can kinda inference what the movie is about anyway.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I'm assuming he's one of many in a long line of cloned workers. They put a 3 year life span on these things, due to the fact that any longer and they'll start to lose it. They generate a "life" that they work to return to, as a means of giving them a will to survive and continue on, but the 3 year mark has been studied and shown to prove that any longer and the efficiency of returned work is drastically reduced, thus termination and replacement with a fresh life.

I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head. Regardless, should still be worth watching everything pan out.

And Deckard is called in, when the replicant doesn't get removed properly.

Alone on the moon where a billion things can go wrong? I know it is scifi but at least have them work in teams or something. Other then that looks to be pretty cool.

Really though, it does look interesting.

Pretty sure I saw a similar plot in a Twilight zone as well. Guy alone on Saturn with a robot wife...
But its all in the presentation.

Man was very pumped for trailer than read your guess and it makes perfect sense already. Here's hoping you're wrong just so I can be somewhat surprised. Also I'm calling for a title to spoilers from here on out (not in regards to vatoreus post). Hate when there's a new movie coming out and there's just an unidentified spoiler there, label it with "saw a screening, my thoughts" or "total guess of what twist is..." - such a shot in the dark on those puppies that most end up getting avoided when i best half of which aren't even actual spoilers
