Saw a couple of weeks ago, liked it a lot but there were a couple of things...

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
First, knowing pretty much the entire movie before going in hurt. I kept waiting for something on top of the disposable clone thing because that was fairly apparent in the trailer. It was well done, but knowing what was going on for the most part was distracting.

Also, maybe I missed something and need to watch it again, but the com towers seemed logically unnecessary and were therefore nothing more than a plot device, which is my only real nitpick with the movie besides knowing too much going in. If Gerty could take part in long range transmissions what were the towers doing exactly? Wouldn't it have made more sense for the communication limitations to be controlled by the system? What's the purpose of a bunch of big towers jamming the signal when it really wasn't completely jammed (Gerty makes transmissions)?

I just assumed it jammed everything other than the one frequency that was a direct link to the H3 company.

Enjoyable but very slight.

A minor gripe ..

You would also have to assume that the jammer taken out by the Harvester would have just been repaired when they went to get the harvester so that was a kind of pointless sequence

That's what I was thinking as well. I'm sure they do maintenance whenever they go back. Weren't there 3 other jamming towers as well? The first Sam found the 1st tower and the other had found the 4th. Unless the whole system gets disrupted when one goes out. Maybe I missed something...

Another thing was a bit strange was the escape pod/cryo-death chamber for the clones. Were they expecting that thing to turn into a capsule and go somewhere? Sam seemed a bit perplexed with it like he had never been instructed on what it does exactly.

Anyways, I thought it was excellent. Having not really watched the trailer, I kinda figured out what was going on early into the movie, but didn't really detract.

Bumping this because I have yet to see this and still really want to. Not out on DVD yet, not playing in any theater within 500 miles in any direction, and it's not exactly helpful when searching for a torrent when the title is, "Moon". Does anyone have a link?

Yep, I tried to find it for about an hour, and gave up. Hopefully it comes out on DVD soon?

There's an R5 of this out right now. Haven't snagged it yet so I don't know the quality. Just an fyi for those wanting to see it but it wasn't in their area.

Apparently the audio is off on the R5 that's making its way around the sites

The audio on the r5 is horrible, but it's still watchable.

The movie is great, but you can see the "plot twists" coming a mile away.

The rip I watched had horrible sound, but after switching it to mono from stereo it wasn't so bad.

Good movie.

Nice to see a sci-fi movie where the computer is actual helpful instead of going psycho.
