One of the best comedies of the decade.

I can't believe I've heard people say this movie was better than Old School. I'm not on board with everyone else. There aren't many spoilers here, but I tagged it anyway

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I think this movie was pretty meh. I don't regret spending money to see it, because it did have funny parts, but the trailers revealed way too much. The jokes were WAY overused. Almost every joke I was like, "Didn't I see this in (insert comedy that's come out since Old School)?" I just didn't find myself laughing that often in the movie. My friends and I discussed the problem because we all agreed that it wasn't that great. The movie suffered from the "it was awesome, but I guess you had to be there" syndrome. We missed what would have been the coolest part of the movie, the actual night. The movie gave us blue balls to the max because they discovered the camera at the end and the only pics of any interest were the blow job pics because that pushed new ground and is something new we have not seen in a big picture comedy of recent years yet. They tied all the loose ends in a really lame way and the situations were so over-the-top and outlandish that it took away from the movie. The premises of the "day after" was actually a pretty cool idea and the whole, "THAT FUCKING HAPPENED LAST NIGHT?!?!?" part of the movie was good, but it went downhill quickly after that. I guess I just like comedies that take themselves a little more seriously now (even though I thought Pineapple Express was great.

Have to agree with this. We thought it was "meh" leaving the theater, but still enjoyed it enough to feel we did not waste our money.

At the same time, though, two things occur to me. One, I think we were dumb in going to see the 12:30 pm show. Way too early, crowd was too small, so we didn't get the whole massive crowd laughing in a group thing.

That and as time has passed, we ARE quoting it and laughing more then we did when we were actually watching it. I'm wondering if it'll be a movie like Napoleon Dynamite was to me - I hated it the first time, but the second time I inexplicably laughed my ass off.

No idea.

And yes, I was torn on thinking I kinda wished we had seen more of the actual night and saddened by how old Heather Graham's breast looked.

If you liked Zack Galifinakis in this movie and haven't seen Out Cold, I recommend you go do that right away. Definitely an underrated movie.

What a great movie. I'm gonna change my voicemail to:

"And don't send me a text message, those are gay."

One of the best parts of the movie:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Hello,
How about that ride in, I guess that why they call it Sin City... ha ha. You guys might not know this, but I consider myself a bit of a loner. I tend to think of myself, as a one man wolf pack. Though when my sister brought Doug home I knew he was one of my own. And my wolf pack, it grew by one. So there was two of us in the wolf pack, I was alone first in the pack and then doug joined later. And six months ago when Doug introduced me to you guys, I thought "wait a second could it be?" and now I know for sure I just added two more guys to my wolf pack. Four of us wolves running around the desert together in Las Vegas, looking for strippers and cocaine. So tonight, I make a toast!

One of the movie theater employees actually came in at the beginning and offered $25 of gift certificates to anyone who would rat out anyone drinking alcohol at my showing. Did anyone else get this?

Anyway... definitely going to start calling roofies 'rapies' now. Some great quotable shit in there.

Fuck that. I don't think there has been a movie in the past five years that my friend and I haven't brought a flask into.
