Has anyone been able to catch this yet? I downloaded it a while back and finally caved in and watched it because it never came out in a theater near me.

Pretty amazing. It's about a young boy in Sweden who is unpopular and picked on at school. He then meets a young girl who happens to be a vampire. The film is more of a coming-of-age story about the young boy with a vampire "girlfriend" rather than a vampire slasher movie, but that's what makes it so great.

I thought the genre work in this was some of the best I've seen. Realistic, gory, but not extremely stylized like you see in most Vampire films. The lore is all there and it works very well when used. This is also one of the best shot movies I've seen this year. I keep playing the pool scene over and over in my head.

Loved this movie. The imagery was fantastic, and the kids were great actors. The music was fabulous too.

This movie was great. Probably going to be one of my favorites. Those kids did a great job. I think this was the girls first film, if so she did hell of a job.

There is going to be an american remake set to be released in 2010. JJ Abrams is involved and Matt Reeves (director of Cloverfield) is set to be the director. I'm not sure how I feel about a remake, I think this movie is just one of those great movies you just don't touch. We'll see.

Wasn't there already a thread on this? I thought that was what made me download it a few months ago. Also, my school tried to show this last night but I think someone stole the reels. Nice.

I read this thread earlier this week, and the very same day one of my friends brought it up...so I decided to download it.

Enjoyed it alot. But I have absolutely no hope for the American version.
