the title is a bit weird , they could have renamed it Night Train or something like 2 am Terror Train since the clocks show that the train leaves after 2am and not midnight.

Right there with you champ. I was thinking that reviewing a porno in the movie house was pretty edgy.

Yes, it is a Clive Barker story and when I called it Lovecraftian I was referring to its broader undertones. I didn't mean to confuse.

Part of the deal with Barker was they had to keep the title.

I'd like to see the film whenever it's released to DVD, but it seems Barker was extremely screwed over by Lionsgate when the movie was only released in dollar theaters across the US.

Just downloaded it. It was much better than any of the recent horror films comming out to theaters. It got much better about halfway through. Worth DL and watching IMO.

Honestly, the could make a movie from any of the stories in the three Books of Blood and have a hit. Those books were just bad ass.

Just watched the film. It wasn't bad as far as horror films go these days.

I love Clive barker's work. Hellraiser and Nightbreed are two of my favorite horror films. They were great comics also(nightbreed anyway). They are also making a Thief of Always movie. Cant wait for that. He has a very twisted imagination.

One of the best horror movies I have seen recently. Vinnie Jones should be playing in more movies, he is quite the win

I remember Thief of Always being one of my favorite books back in the day, that's really good news.

I wasn't all that impressed. Movie took a dive towards the shitter near the end. Should have just stuck with the logical conclusion that dude was selling the meat to a beef factory and gone with that.

Kind of felt like the new Indiana Jones movie, a decent story but just tainted with dumb shit throughout and at the ending makes you go HOLY FUCK ALIENS?!?!

Well, considering the conspiracy required to keep the train a secret, I'd say the revelation at the end was a lot more logical than him just selling to a meat factory. Plus I think people who are familiar with Clive Barker would have been pretty pissed off if it had such a simple explanation (that diverged completely from the short story).

Only complaints I had were with some bad acting and that Ryuhei Kitamura seems to have a problem making serious gore rather than campy gore. It was very cool to see the revolving camera shot from Azumi reused again in MMT though.

This movie seemed like a really good Tales from the Crypt episode, which is fine by me. Better than any those crappy Saw movies.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
What I dont get, is dude gets his tounge ripped out by what I am guessing is one of those monsters in a human body ? Or the monster dudes gave him powers ? Then same dude walks over to his girlfriend who I thought was dead, and jabs her in the chest with a knife, breaks her rib cage, and tears out her still beating heart. Listens to a little story from the guy, and then just agreees to be their hitman/food provider.

Couldnt dude just be like alright I'll do it .. go up top grab a motherfucking shot gun from a local turners and go back down and blow away mr train conducter ? No way in hell some thing rips my toung out and eats it and I'd be like .. sweet put me to work.

And last question, what the fuck was that one guy cutting off his body and putting into jars ?
