Blindness Movie Reviews, Pictures - Rotten Tomatoes

Saw it last night and it's kinda long and kinda slow but overall I'd put it in the "good" category. For the first hour and a half the scale of the film is smaller than the movie appears from the previews as it deals almost entirely with the ever more crowded quarantined people in an encampment but for the last half hour the scope changes to the entire city which is nice.

For being kinda long and kinda slow it doesn't pull any punches and is surprisingly violent and uncomfortable in parts. The very slow beginning needs editing and some more information as to what is happening elsewhere at the end (and a stronger ending) would have been nice.

I've heard this film is a lot like the book it's based on: you either love it or hate it.

I think I'm going to try and catch this in the next week or so.

As Shoolee mentioned, just by watching the trailer it looks like it could be really good or really bad.

I finally got a chance to see this and I agree that the pace is really slow, but I liked it and I usually have a lot of issues with long and sluggish films.

Juliane Moore is brilliant as usual. I will never understand how Hillary Swank has two Oscars to Moore's zero ><

Trailer looked way to reminiscent of The Forgotten which is without question one of the worst films ever made.

Wow. Just watched this on Netflix and I enjoyed it immensely.

It's less of a sci-fi / futuristic virus movie, but more of "state of nature" civilization what if flick. That is, nothing about why is explained.

The tits and ass were just a bonus.

Yeah, those tits and ass in what were basically rape scenes were a huge bonus.

It was an interesting flick,but some of the characters decisions just did not make sense at all..

give it about a B+

I give it a D- for being so unrealistic in her responses to the escalating situation. They're blind and you can see. A) Steal the food and B) Start killing the fucks. Nearly an hour+ of "How much bullshit can I take before I... uh, well, continue taking it because I can't do a god damn thing because I'm a fucking retarded woman."

I liked the movie, it was on one of the pay channels this weekend. While this was in sort of a post apocalyptic world, it was low on action and more cerebral than movies in that type of genre. While I liked it, my wife thought it was so boring that she fell asleep. At some point, the movie came off as really raw, like in the orgy-for-food scenes.
