| The new harry potter shizat And the Chamber of Secrets. I liked the first one personally though it wasn't "hardcore fantasy" yet It was still enjoyable. What does everyone else think of the first and upcoming movie. |

| At first, like many others, I thought Harry Potter was going to be a little kids story. I had never read the books, never heard anything about it, but with the large child fanbase, I assumed it was kiddish. But since it was so popular, I decided I would go and see the movie, just to see what all the fuss was about. And I tell you what, I wasn't dissapointed. I mean, it doesn't rank up there with my favorite movies or anything, but Harry Potter and the Sorceres Stone wasn't half bad. Some decent plot twists, an entertaining story, and EXCELLENT music by John Williams made it a very enjoyable movie. I can see that the story is really going to build up and probably get a lot deeper as the series moves on, so I'm definately going to go see the next ones as they come out. Might look into the books too ![]() |

| John Williams is a good composer and a great film scorer. All musicians and composers have influences and models, although sometimes Williams' influences are sometimes a little too apparant. Go download Dvorak's New World Symphony. Sound familiar? A lot of his material is "influenced" by Gustav Holst's work, too. Just FYI ehhhehehehehheheheeehehehehe |

| It wasn't amazing buy any means but was an enjoyable film. #2 should be more of the same. #3 will change things somewhat though with the new director and no Richard Harris.

| Harry Potter the Teen Actually I think Daniel Radcliffe was about 3 years older than Harry Potter's supposed age for the first movie, he just looked younger. It's apparent to me that he looks older than he should in this movie, and I'm sure that 3 year age difference and puberty should just about destroy any similarity between him and his character's age.

| Exactly, Dokomo. I was flipping through channels and saw him being interviewd, and they admitted that he was growing up so fast that it was ridiculous to think he'd be in any harry potter business past movie 3. |
