+6 Internets | Sherlock Holmes Downey Jr. Is Ritchie's "Sherlock" (July 10th 2008) Downey does Sherlock with Holmes mystery - Yahoo! News I've heard that Revolver wasn't very good, but Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes and Guy Ritchie as director sounds promising. |

| Revolver was... an odd movie, but I enjoyed it. It's one of the only times I've seen Statham play a dark role, and he did pretty well with it. As for this, I'll watch it for Downey alone. If Downey keeps on the track he's been on, I'll watch any fucking movie he makes even if it's "My Little Pony: Rainbows and Pixies"

| I am sorry. A Sherlock Holmes movie as a comedy? That's like taking Green Acres and making it a real life documentary on the farming experience.

| Oh I know. I am just saying it is a retarded idea in general.

| Always liked the books, and the era of quaint Victorian civility so different from the indecency exhibited today. Robert Downey Jr. is an inspired choice, but he'll need to reign in the snarkiness for this one.

| Wait, there are people out there who liked Revolver? FFS, that movie made Swept Away look like the best movie ever made by comparison. Not sure how I feel about Guy Ritchie doing Sherlock Holmes. Robert Downey Jr. can only be a good thing, but I'll believe Ritchie can make another great movie... well, after I see RocknRolla and it doesn't suck ass. |

| He's aloof and blunt and lacking in the social graces. Sometimes people confuse that with being an asshole. It's different. Sherlock doesn't say things out of narcissism, and he would never resort to sarcasm.
