I saw some Oliver Stone movie about GW Bush preview when I went to see Burn After Reading. Is this gonna be standard from now on? A president has a shitload of stuff happen during his presidency coupled with a bunch of liberal pussies crying all over that tampon prices have skyrocketed so much they can't afford anal probes and some faggot makes a movie about the president?

Truman had like a 16% approval rating leaving the office and he is regarded as one of our best presidents tmk. W may not make it to ever be regarded that highly but since the 60s no president has faced the shit W has, if not before... I wish W was as awful as the libs say he is, then maybe he woulda just had the CIA snipe the writer and Oliver Stone. Most of Stone's movies are garbage, Alexander??????, but there is the occasional JFK... That guy needs to stay on the meds...

I dunno wtf I was thinking by round about defending GW on this board in the original thread.¿ That's like spreading gas on the floor before a flame war...¿ Still though, I don't see why a movie like this is even being made.¿ Freedom of speech and all aside...¿ Why make a movie about a guy that's soon to be gone from the spot light and what's done is done?¿ Hell I would think they'd at least wait 5 or 10 years until we can see what the outcome of his presidency is.¿ If the libs are right they'll have plenty of ammunition and outcomes to back it up, if not maybe there's no reason to make it at all...

Don't go playing the "well he's had a lot to deal with card" THATS WHAT YOU ARE EXPECTING WHEN YOU BECOME PRESIDENT. The president is supposed to be a person capable of handling those situations. You don't become president and then after fucking everything up say, "well shucks, I didn't think I'd have anything major to deal with. I thought it would be sunshine and rainbows for 4/8 years and then I can write my memoirs."

My understanding was that the film is to be about the Man's life leading up to him becoming president. Regardless of your political ideals something like that could be interesting, people seem to like to watch the rise of men in power to see how they got there.

If this fella is as invalid as so many people seem to think he is, then perhaps it'll provide hope to other dipshits of the world ... you know, an inspirational piece.

I'm more interested in seeing Brolin's portrayal, he's not who springs to mind when I think of Bush, though I can't off the top of my head think of who would play him well so whatever I guess.
