I don't care about the outfit she wears.

I think she's a fun character because she is completely and utterly mercenary. Spike and Jet have the occasional altruistic impulse; not Faye. She's all about what is in it for HER, all the time.

I think that's sort of the point. She's utterly mercenary, yet she's terrible at doing anything for herself, and it takes her almost the entire run of the anime to realize this. I'd go with Ed as the obnoxious one and Jet as the totally uninteresting one.

Yeah, Jet seems to exist entirely to provide a foil for Spike and Faye.

So he's only interesting in the context of how he interacts with those two.

Ed can be annoying, and she is sort of flat but I was still sad when she left. The change in her character was a lot more instantaneous than anyone else.

Jet was very boring. He was supposed to be pretty consistent, they just through Ganymede Elegy and Black Dog Serenade so you knew that there was at least something that was important to him, and he was capable of feeling something.

As I've said Faye is an interesting character, but not a very likable one. She isn't even true to who she is trying to be. You might say she doesn't have an altruistic bone in her body, but that is more because she isn't even sure how she can help herself, much less someone else. Her development is fun to watch but pitying her for 90% of the series makes her hard to like.

Spike is far and away the most interesting and likable character.

Ok, in the most simplistic terms so even you understand what my point is. She is popular, sure. But if you like Faye because she is attractive then you are not a fan of the show, you are simply a fan of Faye and your vote should not contribute to who is considered the 'fan favorite.'

What makes you think I liked her for her boobs? I thought the pilot -- I haven't seen the series in a while, the one with the metal arm -- was more interesting than Faye. But, in terms of popularity, Faye is probably the most popular.

I thought Faye was a very interesting character. I really enjoyed her back story episodes they were some of my favorites. I love to hate her really. How ever the one thing I did not get, is I don't find her to be a sexy character. There is plenty of sexy female anime characters in other shows but I really did not find her to be "sexy" at all. I think it had something to do with her being a cut throat bitch, but i'm not sure. Maybe its just me.
