+2 Internets | Absolutely yes, he should get the nod. I like to think of this way: Can you name a more memorable role as a supporting actor this season? I doubt it. Sure, not all the movies are out but you more or less know what is on the horizon. There won't be anything 1/10th as memorable as Heath Ledger's Joker. More or less, I don't know if I can name a supporting or even a leading role that is more memorable. A few in the same category (Forrest Gump, Tony Montana, etc), but it's pretty debatable. I think TDK's Joker is definetly the best piece of acting I have seen or will see this oscar year, and is also probably one of the top 5 most memorable roles in history. |

+7 Internets | Heath Ledger is to Brandon Lee, as the current decade is to the 90's. Just some food for thought.

| I couldn't bring myself to believe it was Heath Ledger playing that role - everytime I saw the Joker on the screen, I was believing it was the Joker That and the fact that everytime the Joker was on the screen, I expected someone to die or some shit to just happen which kept me on the edge of my seat unlike any other comic book movie. He felt like a real psychopath - a real person on screen, and to me that's the best any acting job can be |
