| Yeah, the weird voice Batman uses was kind of annoying, but I guess he has to hide that he's Bruce Wayne by doing it. As for the Oscar, I voted yes, but I don't really think he'll win. To clarify, I went into the film expecting the stuff to be way overhyped and I was tired of people giving him praise "just because he was dead". I thought First Knight sucked hard (We Will Rock You? What the fuck?) despite my fascination with everything medieval, and had no respect for him as a result. The Patriot was disappointing since it was basically the same thing as Braveheart, but a different war, so it was hard to appreciate anything in the film. It probably would've been cool if Braveheart didn't come out first. I didn't see Brokeback Mountain for various reasons (heard it was shitty from females who usually love that type of stuff, don't care to see gay guys messing around, didn't like that it got so much praise just because of the gay thing, etc), so I can't comment on that one. However, his role in Batman really blew me away. I was truly amazed at how well he performed the role. He didn't even seem like himself. Characters in that type of role don't get awards very often. Borderline-indy, holocaust/Jewish, artsy, and extremely liberal films pretty much always walk away with the awards. I don't even watch the Oscars anymore - they're such a sham. | It was definitely forced sounding, which of course it was. It only came out when he had extended dialogue. In short bursts its fine, but several sentences in a row sounded a bit awkward. Of course he needs to disguise his voice some, but that was a bit extreme.

| I said it was annoying, not that he should use his regular speaking voice. I agree with it sounding forced, Twobit. It made me laugh a couple of times when the dialogue wasn't humorous at all. |

| It was a great movie, great character. I think he deserves a shot at the Oscar for sure. It likely may be the best movie of the year, and thus, he has a good shot at winning. As great as the movie and character was, it's been vastly overhyped by throngs of comic-reading nerds. I see people saying "OMG BEST CHARACTER EVER." Hardly. |

| I voted he deserves to be in the running. Like many before have said his portrayal of the Joker was just fascinating and made you forget you were watching a movie it just seemed so damn real and insane. At the end I kept thinking what a damn shame he is dead after that killer performance and wont be around to grace the screens again.

+24 Internets | For those that think this derives from his death, there was an immense amount of hype about him before he died. Hell, there was a lot of hype surrounding the role as soon as Gordon flashed the Joker card, and once the people within the movie were acclaiming Heath's performances during filming, people were on his nuts solid.

| Fuck the 48 dickless pieces of shit that voted no. I don't know that I've seen 5 better performances at any level. As others have pointed out, he sold the insanity with every gesture and tic. He brought out the mania, he brought out the sociopath. He even brought out the tardive dyskinesia. He dominated the screen. He didn't have a single line that fell flat. |
