| Well, saw the first 3 at the theaters and had no desire to go see the 4th one. So finally saw it when it came to cable. Have no desire to see this one at all.

| Breathing causes cancer, haven't you heard? also, the Saw sequel movies suck, they are just horrible examples of 'film making'... just like that piece of shit movie Hostel. The first Saw was decent with the twist at the very end, but since then... ugh.

+16 Internets | Saw was full of gore and clever traps to kill people and how they escape or meet their fate. Hostel is 95% nothing and 5% death with half the gore. Don't even compare Saw to that rubbish called Hostel.

+2 Internets | I have seen each of the Saw movies in theaters, it has become a yearly event for a small group of friends and I. On the whole I would say I enjoyed Saw I/II and I have been entertained by the last two. Even if the quality has decreased in the later movies I do like how it is giving more and more detail towards the back story for what motivated Jigsaw. |

| HorrorFK | As someone stated earlier, Saw has become a yearly routine for friends to do something in October (or near Halloween for my case). It's just fun to watch and see what these people can come up with, and what they can manage to release into an R-rated theater. I wouldn't compare them to the parody movies, though... I mean.... these people are actually trying for something clever, compared to those idiots who still haven't learned the ways of 'Airplane.' The twists are filled with holes and are somewhat complex, but four was a lot better than two and three.

| I'll never understand the hate for Eli Roth. The man is one of a select few directors today who even try to make movies for horror fans rather than the kiddies who've never even seen the classic films. Cabin Fever was great, Hostel was great, and Hostel 2 was... ok, yeah, Hostel 2 fucked up. He ruined the good ending that the first one had by undoing it, and the cast was full of terrible performances. Oh well, every director releases a turd now and then. Cell should still be one hell of a movie, being based on King's best book in decades, a screenplay by the writers of 1408, and directed by Roth. Last edited by Vorph : 07-06-2008 at 02:47 PM. |
