Watching that sneak peek makes me think that this may be a movie in which Keanu's total lack of acting ability may be an asset. Too bad they are going with a faggy environmentalist message.

lol if they change it into an environmental themed movie that is going to suck.

Anyways the original concept is pretty naive, the whole spaceship lands unannouced thing. The only logical thing a government should do is open fire as soon as the door opens (if not before).

I dont really think the original story would adapt as well as it did back then. I think the environmental issue makes some sense. I'm sure it will be fine, the director seems like he doesnt want to steer away from the original story.

I hope it has a montage at the end of humans planting trees and riding bicycles on the highway and holding hands in the park, only to be interrupted by that black kid from the trailer saying "this shit is even gayer than that big pile of guys fucking each other in the ass"

I dunno it looks good to me. Im sure the faggy environmental overtones wont be too strong, least it doesnt look like it anyways.

Problem is the public has been soooooooo saturated by the environment this and the environment that over the last couple of years (not to mention the stream of abuse coming from both sides as well).

I think any movie pushing an environmental message will piss off alot more people than it will entertain. I am certainly sick of the whole thing.

Unfortunately, I think those of us sick of having green this and green that forced upon us all the time are the minority. Most people believe whatever is forwarded to them in an email or they see on TV.
