| The first movie is still the second best bad movie of all time (Army of Darkness ftw). The second is just plain the worst, although I think this third one might take that title.

As for StarCraft, I think like all of Blizzard's Craft series they borrowed heavily from Games Workshop. As for the movies, I loved the first one. It's vastly different from the book but it's a fun action romp with some dark comedy/satire aspects. If you liked the first RoboCop you most likely enjoyed the first SST movie. The second move though was totally lame and it made me sad watching it. This movie looks even worse than Hero of the Federation if that is some how possible.

| I'm really hoping this can be bad along the lines of Dragon Wars or Shoot Em Up, but sadly I think it is going to be another hero of the federation, I mean seriously a giant fucking mecha, that is the federation's secret weapon against the apparent scorpion bug (which looks cool no doubt). Oh well, maybe a guy named Dix Hauser and Casper van Who can turn it around for Vanguard!....errr yeah. |

| I think he's referring to the cinematic ending to the human campaign, where they run the propaganda reel. Anyway, Heinlein rolls in his grave some more. I thought the first one was fucking horrible and it's quite obvious they're only gotten worse. |

But yes as mentioned many times it looked like Warcraft copied Warhammer, and Starcraft copied 40k.

| STFU about which came first. Starcraft was amazing. Starship Troopers 1 was awesome. nuff said. If SST3 achieves the same campiness as the first than it should be a fun popcorn flick.

| Because books are fully illustrated and identical to films in every way. Just thought it was something to talk about on a game forum, obviously I was wrong.

| The novel is one of the best sci-fi book ever. Heinlein is the only author who received the Hugo Award 3 or 4 times and there are good reasons for that. Now just because I like the book doesn't mean I hate the movie. The movie has got nothing to do with the book, and I don't care because it doesn't pretend to. The movie is great because it's got several layers. If you are stupid, you just see it as a popcorn flick. If you are not stupid, you realize that it is a criticism of the humanity in general and the American society specifically. What it could become. Enlisting to become a 'citizen' and have a right to vote? Sounds terrible doesn't it? Well let me remind you that in most, non third-world countries except in the US, if you are poor, you can have a very decent higher education for free, thus you don't need to enlist to have the army pay for your education. To be fair, sometimes, like in France, getting a good education is not the only problem. If you live in the French equivalent of the Projects, good luck in getting a job even if you are in the top 10 of your class. But at least you don't risk being killed by an IED in Irak because you wanted to get a Computer Science Major degree. So my guess is that Paul Verhoeven, being European, wanted to subtly talk about that in the movie.
