Terminal was a different kind of movie, i enjoyed it quite a bit tho. i admit i think Spielberg ripped off Moscow on the Hudson.

Hanks has made bad movies. Da vinci code was very lukewarm and You have Mail put me to sleep.

Matt Damon

Excellent in the Bourne Movies, The Departed etc but has some real turds, Stuck On You, Brothers Grimm and a few others.

Now IMO the guy that doesn't get enough work? Ben Foster. That dude has pale, white boy sociopath down pat.

Tom Cruise? He has more than his fair share of duds, Vanilla Sky, Magnolia, Minority Report. I don't know I just think he's one dimensional or maybe I'm just biased because he's bat shit crazy.

A little off topic...can Hollywood please stop giving Will Ferrell work, holy shit I'm tired of seeing the same movie over and over and over again (yes Adam Sandler, you're pretty close to that territory as well).

Wow. This is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. I was about to hit Daniel Day-Lewis in here, but then I pulled up his imdb and realized that at least one or two of his early movies must have been complete shit since I've never even heard of them.

I think the whole argument is kind of retarded, since an actor isn't the only thing that makes a movie good or bad.

Great actors have been in shitty films (Matt Damon in Stuck on You), and shitty actors have been in great films (Nicolas Cage in Lord of War).

To find an actor that has ONLY been in good films would require to find an actor that has ONLY dealt with good directors, production values, fellow actors, and a plethora of other things that are more often than not out of their control.

I used to think he was overrated until Saving Private Ryan (I never saw Philadelphia). Personally I think a LOT of actors could've played the role in Forrest Gump though. That type of story is pure gold, and it was told/written as well as it's ever been done. But he's been in plenty of shitbombs. Volunteers, Joe vs the Volcano, You've got Mail, and quite a few others that escape me at the moment.

My favorite actors change often, but it's usually some or all of the following:

Kenneth Braunagh, Malcom McDowell, Jack Nicholson, Joe Pesci (Range is incredible. From deadly Gangster to annoying accountant to slightly retarded fisherman).

Con Air? are you serious?

Face Off was great, Con Air was retarded. His so called "accent" completely ruined it. Wicker Man.. ehh whatever.

I'm gonna have to say Tom Cruise for best/worst.

Days of Thunder ftw.

Seriously, Joe vs the Volcano was just badass. Floating away on giant luggage, what's up. I haven't seen it in years, though, but it was great when I was a kid.

Big.

For people that have only made good movies... Leonardo Dicaprio. Dont come in here talking shit about The Beach either. That movie was fucking awesome no matter how much you hated the video game scene.
