Pretty much every actor/actress EVER that's been in some good movies has done some bullshit movies.

A better "trend" would be to find an actor/actress who's only ever been in good movies.

Will Smith and Tom Cruise have only made a bad movie or two really. Almost all of there films gross over 100million

Christian Bale was in Harsh Times but it wasnt his fault why that movie sucked

I haven't seen Harsh Times, but you got me there. I heard it was fairly awful, I forgot it existed.

Really not a good debate, most everyone will be in some weak movies I suppose.

Terminal was bad and that was a Spielberg film. When considering whats a bad movie I mainly go off of how successfull it was for this kind of judging

I read this thread as actors who put forth good and bad performances. If it's just actors who've made good and bad movies it's really pointless.

Are there really any actors that change that much? Editing, the script and direction all come into play.

I can list massive turds they were in and then amazing films. Can't blame them for the role at all as much as any other part of the film.

Off the top of my head:

Will Smith: 6 Degrees of Separation vs. Wild Wild West
Harrison Ford: Blade Runner vs. Hollywood Homicide
Adam Sandler: Punch-Drunk Love vs. The Entire Rest of his Career
Matt Damon: The Good Shepherd vs. Glory Daze
Al Pacino: His Entire Career vs. s1m0ne

Samuel Jackson: too easy



Has Harvey Keitel been in anything bad? Even the "bad" movies were decent.

Everyone's involved with a turd at some point.

I really liked the mummy, but for Brendan himself I though he was good in Crash as well as the Air I breath, and loved his part in scrubs. Going back I though School Ties and With Honors were good performances as well.

Ed Norton for not being in anything that has sucked, there are only two movies on the IMDB list of his I have not seen and both are bit parts so maybe that doesn't count. Every other movie he has ever been in I have enjoyed, and a couple of which are some of my favorite movies.


An Actor I really enjoy, but who is also in some fucking hardcore clunkers, is Jason Statham, some movies he just carries through the suck, others he can't help the movie and some movies he is in just fucking rule.
