Someone mentioned Tom Hanks. Does Mazes and Monsters qualify as a good or bad movie?

How about Jeremy Davies who plays the same character in every film. He is always the crazy guy in Rescue Dawn, Solaris, Lost, etc...

first time i watched jarhead i thought it sucked, i was expecting some good 90's military action and it didnt deliver, the next time i watched it i thought it was much better, not as good as the book of course but still good. jamie fox was alittle over the top but peter sarsgaard and gylenhaal were both good. and chris cooper is always good.

Somebody's been reading the FOH board!

Eddie Murphy recently became the most profitable star in cinema history. According to tracking Web site BoxOfficeMojo.com, Murphy's 33 films have grossed a combined $3.4 billion. That's an average of $104.5 million per movie, which is certainly nothing to mock. Yet, for all his financial success, the star has become infamous as of late for truly terrible comedies that tarnish his brilliant past work. For every "Trading Places," there's a "Golden Child." For every "Nutty Professor," a "Showtime." The wildly divergent quality of Murphy's filmography is second only to Woody Allen. When he's good, he's painfully hilarious. When he's bad, he's just a pain.

Costner and Cage are my top two for good/bad roles.

With those two, the role is pure win, or epic fail, and hardly ever anywhere in between. I watched "The Rock" about a month ago on HBO, and I honest to gosh wonder how Cage can watch himself in that movie and not want to kill himself. Same for Costner and "The Postman" for sure.

Cage is worse than Costner to me, simply because Costner has Tin Cup and 3000 Miles to Graceland on his resume, which is so full of win it defies comprehension.

As far the actors I can't recall in a bad movie or at least a bad role for them - Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman jump to mind, along with Meryl Streep.

Good call on Oldman and Freeman, I can't think of any bad ones with them. Bruce Almighty would qualify except Freeman was the best part about that movie by far.

I like probably 99% of John Kusack movies. Some of his latest works have been bordering on corny, but I still think he does well. Also - while his sister is not an amazing actress, most movies that have her stuck in it somewhere turn out to be pretty good I think. I loved TOYS with her and Robin Williams so so so much.

Didn't see anyone mention William Hurt. He's been spectacular in everything I've seen him in.

Benecio Del Toro? Nine Grams was borderline, but he was really good in it I thought.

Can't claim to have been disappointed by any Depp films, but I haven't seen Sleepy Hollow or The Secret Window.

Sleepy Hollow was really good in my opinion. And Secret Window was meh, but Depp is a good actor all around.
