Tim Robbins. Batshit insane in RL, star of many bad movies, and just happens to be in one of the top ten movies of all time. (Shawshank)

Malcovich is fairly overrated in my opinion but you're right, he tends to make good movies. His best being Dangerous Liasons. I wish he was always that good.

For actor that has made some of the best movies ever, and some of the worst, I'm going to have to toss Eddie Murphy's name into the ring. Some of his early work was pure comedy genius for the time, like 48 Hours, Trading Places, Beverly Hills Cop, Coming to America, even The Golden Child, and of course Shrek later. But I can't even begin to list the shitty ones he has made without scrolling off the page.

I'd also have to add Ahnold and Stallone to the list. Some of their movies are on many people's all time favorites, and then you have stuff like Jingle All the Way with Sinbad, Red Sonja, Rhinestone, Oscar, etc. Speaking of, has Sinbad ever been in a good movie?

Hell, as I think about this more, almost every actor/actress qualifies. Harrison Ford has done some of the greatest movies of all time, but still has a few stinkers under his belt (although not quite Eddie Murphy quality poo). I actually can't think of anyone *really* good that doesn't have at least one shitty movie stashed away hoping we forget about it.

Good call on Eddie Murphy. I was channel flipping the other day and came across The Adventures of Pluto Nash. Ugh.

eddie murphy started making absolute shit when he got really big with Coming to America and stopped being hungry. he still makes some great comedies thanks to john landis but he is nothing like he was 20 years ago.

Robin Williams

He also released some turds like, RV (What the hell was he thinking?) Jumanji, Flubber, Popeye, and Night at the Museum.

I consider him a much better dramatic actor then comedic actor. (I know that comedy is thought to be the hardest thing to do on film.)

I liked Popeye...
