| Chocolate - JeeJa Yanin (Female Tony Jaa) Was wondering if anybody caught this movie. I saw it recently and I thought it was awesome-sauce. It stars JeeJa Yanin who is said to be the female Tony Jaa. Here's a clip of her in action. Beware of spoiler though if you plan on watching it as this is the end fight. All the moves are said to be done by her without a stunt double and the falls that you see in the clip apparently doesn't have a mattress to soften the impact as to keep the movie realistic. Crazy. | Are you a woman hater or something? Saying this is the female equivilant to Tony Jaa is like saying that because my niece drew a crappy picture that she is the female version of Van Gogh... Absolutely god awful, don't bother watching.

+16 Internets | The moves and the use of the setting is pretty neat in the 2nd part. It feels very video game-ish, because it looks like it takes place in a level of Elevator Action or Bonanza Bros. That said, the delivery of this good choreography seemed often flat, lacking energy or slow. The many uses of wires, affecting the natural flow of movement, play a part in this, but they are not the only offenders.

| I love that progression in these type of movies. Reminds of me of Streets of Rage with the epic boss in the suit smoking cigars at the end.

She is slow, has no style at all, and she is ugly. This is the kind of shit feminism gets us? Would not watch again.

| She weighs what? All of a hundred pounds? Grapple one hit of hers, don't let go, and then just throw her against things till she's down. Tony Jaa though, he's the real fucking deal. God those movies, Ong Bak and The Protector, were terrible outside of the ridiculous fights. Keep thinking about picking them up, but I'd rather just have one DVD of the fights all chained together for demo purposes. |

+2 Internets | The fact that they cut camera angles between and during almost all of her techniques is a big red flag. The Jaa clip that Tuco posted is four minutes, one take, one camera, no cuts, and flawless. Totally different league. That is *insane*. Last edited by Tallyn : 10-29-2008 at 06:32 AM. |
