i watch those high res images and i still dont get what the fuck is that huge wheel..... i mean, if you watch the robot you can see from some of its parts that it must be some kind of industrial machine, probably an excavator....but the wheel? it's beyond my ability to comprehend ![]()

I understand perspective and such but my point, if I have read correctly about Bay's intention to work towards Unicron in T3, it appears he is backing himself into a hole or even setting himself up for failure. Comparatively, Optimus and the Constructicon at the end of the trailer is 10:1 ratio in terms of size. Meaning that Devastator is going to be 100 times larger than Optimus. Thus fitting to scale the Aircraft carrier competitor. However, this means Unicron is going to be absolutely monstrous and I believe Bay can achieve size on the screen but, I think he is going to raise his stereotyped big, bad, and explosive standards too high. It's going to cost major money and will need to work hard at it making any sense. They'll have to go from fighting on/around Unicron to Unicron becoming an interactive character on the screen. If not carful, Bay may end up with the Deathstar turning into MegaMaid if the picture isn't painted correctly. To sum it up, if this proves to be a knock out film, he's going to be working himself out of a tough corner to reach people's expectations.

Im just gratefull for another transformers movie, im not a hardcore die hard fan who knows all the comic book lore and shit, but i grew up with transformers and fucking loved every minute of the first film! If this one has more transformers screentime and fighting then i can sit there quite happy for two hours watching it.

Looking at those high-res screens, it's possible that that's like 2-3 of the Constructicons already together (one or two composing the arms, wheel-thingy the body/wheels), but it does look like it's just one, so who knows. I guess, to be fair, construction vehicles ARE fucking huge, but still, 5 jet Autobots would barely hold a candle to the 1 excavator, so seems kind of crazy. I still got nostalgia rushes during the actual robot scenes in the first one though, so retardedly huge Devastator isn't really going to scare me off if there's even more robot scenes in 2. The fact that he's drawing more from the comic book line is actually heartening, I loved the comics.

Got some pics of Devastator and "The Fallen" From the form the movie. Fallen looks allright, his toy looks better with the dimensions and size though. Here looks a bit too skinny. Devastator I dont know wtf to say though. Looks like they went lumbering brute instead of massive robot. Should have been built more like Optimus standing tall and straight imo.

+19 Internets | Huh, I had assumed that the fallen in the title was gonna be a resurrected Megatron. Is this a comic thing I was unaware of or just something totally original to the movie? Haha, original in a Bay movie... I kid, really. |
