Either group them or don't.
They didn't lump the LoTR trilogy at #2. They specifically chose Fellowship of the Rings.

I was referring to Darkmyst's list that's posted a few back.

Gangster was pretty spot on, though scarface and Bonny/Clyde need to swap places...Bonny and Clyde as a film was way over-rated, it only gets its acclaim for ushering in modern filming "rules".

The rest of the lists sucked ass..

It's right in the title.

Oh and the lists suck. Animation category is a huge letdown, as they obviously equate animation productions as children's films, considering only kiddie flicks. I would like to know who writes these lists, any info on them?

Edit: Bah, too late. Pay no attention to the small glowing orb@!

The pre-made list of 50 for animation was the following:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
1 ALADDIN
2 ALICE IN WONDERLAND
3 AMERICAN POP
4 AN AMERICAN TAIL
5 ANTZ
6 THE ARISTOCATS
7 BAMBI
8 BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
9 A BUG'S LIFE
10 CARS
11 CHARLOTTE'S WEB
12 CINDERELLA
13 CORPSE BRIDE
14 DUMBO
15 FANTASIA
16 FINDING NEMO
17 HAPPY FEET
18 THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME
19 ICE AGE
20 THE INCREDIBLES
21 THE IRON GIANT
22 THE JUNGLE BOOK
23 LADY AND THE TRAMP
24 THE LION KING
25 THE LITTLE MERMAID
26 MADAGASCAR
27 THE MANY ADVENTURES OF WINNIE THE POOH
28 MONSTER HOUSE
29 MONSTERS, INC.
30 MULAN
31 THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
32 101 DALMATIANS
33 PETER PAN
34 PINOCCHIO
35 POCAHONTAS
36 THE POLAR EXPRESS
37 THE RESCUERS
38 ROBIN HOOD
39 ROBOTS
40 THE SECRET OF NIMH
41 SHREK
42 SHREK 2
43 SLEEPING BEAUTY
44 SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS
45 SOUTH PARK: BIGGER LONGER & UNCUT
46 THE SWORD IN THE STONE
47 TARZAN
48 TOY STORY
49 TOY STORY 2
50 WAKING LIFE

It feels like they crammed every Disney movie they could find in there, no matter how bad. They could have done without some of them to make room for Fritz The Cat or, why not, The Transformers: The Movie.

The lack of Secret of Nimh in the final 10 is also pretty sad and so is probably the lack of The Iron Giant (which is supposed to be very good but that I have yet to see - like many of the voters it seems...).

Oh and about A Clockwork Orange all I was saying is that it's an english funded movie set in a futuristic England as depicted in the english novel it is based on. Filmed in England with english actors by an american who has been living there for more than 10 years at the time...

Cars at 10, Jesus Tittyfucking Christ.

It's not even one of the top 10 animated 3D car films by Pixar starring Owen Wilson made in the last 5 years.

Amen. That shit is top 10 along with Nimh for sure. Twice Upon A Time needs to make the top 50 at least also.

If you've never seen Twice Upon A Time, do so now. Youtube will oblige in 8 parts.

The list of 50 is a pre-selection in alphabetical order. The number are there only to help fill the ballot.

This list wasn't so bad for me. There weren't a lot of "what the fuck is that movie doing there" moments and they don't do something stupid like try to rank them.

The 300 Movies You Must See Before You Die on Maxim.com : Hot Girls, Sex, Photos, Hot Videos, Sports, Movies and Music

I'm always disapointed when Silverado doesn't make the list for Westerns, though.

I would say the problem is not what is there, it's what is not: Glancing through the list I saw a grand total of 3 non english language movies out of 300 (Akira, City of Gold and Hard Boiled)...
