Hells yeah! I've been waiting for someone to make a decent H.P. Lovecraft movie for ages. CGI is mature enough now where they can render the type of shit that Lovecraft came up with and make it look real.

Well, one would hope that they can't render non-Euclidian insanities that defy reason, unless of course the CGI programmer guy serves the Elder abominations and this movie will herald the End Of All.

Looks like another Lovecraft movie is in the works as well.

Lovecraft's "Doorstep" Creeps Forward (June 17th 2008)

I have always wanted to get a production compnay and adapt H. P. Lovecraft's short stories to a TV format ala Tales from the Crypt.

Things like The Outsider by H. P. Lovecraft and The Rats in the Walls by H. P. Lovecraft would be great for 15-30 minute segments.

He has a lot of good short story work that fit better in those smaller chucks than many of the movies that take a 15 page short story and try to make a 2 hour movie with it.

Stephen King did a short Lovecraft piece in his TNT Nightmares and Dreamscapes segment.

I have only read a few short stories of his, so for those that have not read many or any Lovecraft stories, here is a link to his public domain material:-
