This is John Woo's new film Red Cliff. It has been out in China for a few months. Anyways you can get it off any torrent site with english sub hardcoded. It's worth the download.

It is based on a famous battle during the Three Kingdoms period with the famous strategist Zhuge Liang pitted against Prime Minister Cao Cao. It sticks more to historical events than myth for the most part (like King Arthur did) I think you guys would enjoy it. Here is the only english trailer I could find. I know the trailer sucks sorry.

p.s. has half the cast of Infernal Affairs

I watched it, was pretty good, kind of long, but still good.

Finally got around to watching this and i thought it was great. Personally, it has gone onto my list of favourite movies; the soundtrack, cast and action come together so well.

And for those who dont know, this movie is split into two parts, with the second part being released in a few months. I heard they were going to release the two movies as as one in North American theatres (select ones of course).

hated how it ended, very matrix 2-esque (ie, no real closure anywhere)... I understand they're making another one I just hate how they chopped this one up.

Lol. I was looking at the time near the end of the movie and was thinking "are they really going to make the entire battle span 15 minutes??". But my advice to anyone is to wait until the second part is released before they watch it. It'll make the experience that much better.
