| Star Wars Me and a friend had an argument over this, so I was wondering... If anyone here knows, does Lucas plan to release additional episodes to star wars after they are through with episode 3? Like after the 6th one takes place, does anyone know if they plan to do any more? Any info would be appreciated.. I know many people didn't like the first two new episodes for various reasons such as acting, characters, plot, etc... But I really liked them, and I'd love to see a continuation of the Star Wars universe, preferably before George Lucas dies. |

+1 Internets | Lucas has stated several times that he would not do any other films after Episode 6. Rumors will fly forever about this and on one occasion he has contradicted himself. But it just wont happen. Read the novels that take place after Episode 6. Very good reads.

| well damn, that really sucks... The thing that really interested me about star wars were the vehicles and technology in all the movies.. I guess it makes me a techno geek but I would have loved seeing another few movies, if only to see some leet, leet space battles/ground wars. The battle scenes in episode 2 would have made the whole damn thing worth seeing! my request to lucas: Make some damn 30 minute movies or somethiing with just ships blowing up and shit, and i'll <3 u forever. jeje |

| Yah I'm gonna get the books that's followed up after episode 6. But yes, I would love movies after that one. Just 1. I kinda have the feeling, that after episode 3 is done, Lucas will wait like 10 years, and if he's semi-bored or doesn't feel too old, he'll make em. |

| Lucus didnt write the books post Return of the Jedi nor the books pre New hope written before Phantom M came out. When making the 2 new ones he stated he would follow his own story, thus why they conflict with those books. I hope Lucus sells rights to the movie post Return and we get a good movie again.

| Lucas didn't write the Star Wars books after Return of the Jedi, but he did give the authors permission to use his story and said the stories were good. He even took ideas from the books. Timothy Zahn (Author of the First 3 Star Wars books that were written, and the best ones. Heir to the Empire, Dark force Rising, and the Last Command. Best books in the world if you like Star Wars) made up Coruscant as the Imperial Capital World, and George Lucas took the idea from him for the prequels. So he didnt just follow his own story, he took ideas from the authors. |

| no, lucas didn't write the star wars books, that is more fan fiction than anything. but he did write episodes 7 8 and 9. if he does make them i hope he doesn't wait too long, becuase look at episode 1. he hadn't directed in a long time, so it sucked from a directorial standpoint. but episode 2 he got back into his groove and made a good one. |

| Truce at Bakura takes place before the Zahn trilogy btw. If I remember correctly it takes place the same year the RoTJ. True they were written first though I think. I have heard it from numerous people that even though the books are not official that they have to be sanctioned and every author is told who and how he can kill and what other topics can be touched. So basically Lucas does not go through the hard work but just proofreads them when done for any changes he wants done. I think he will stick to just these 6 so as not to mess up the world he created. Be prepared though for some spinoffs maybe in the form of TV shows? There was already a huge thing over making an animate series called The Clone Wars but last I heard it was cancelled which is a shame IMHO. |

| On the same topic of movie series, does anyone have any info on whether or not there are plans to make the Hobbit into a movie? That's another title I would LOVE to see on the big screen, especially having seen how well the first two came out, I think that the prequel to them would be just as good. I'd give anything to see how Smaug looked. |

| Truce at Bakura takes place like...a few weeks or so after Return of The Jedi, so Chronologically it comes first, but it was the fourth Star Wars book written (Zahns trilogy came first). Right, George Lucas has a lot of input into the Star Wars novels, although he does contradict them sometimes. I consider them Fan-fiction, they definately aren't canon. But they are very amazing stories, especially the New Jedi Order series. |

| a) he said he would release the original trilogy on DVD after Episode 3 (I learned this from a huge star wars geek I used to know. Lucas also threatened to not make episode 3 if episode 2 flopped, or something, so all the nurds HAD TO make it a big hit or no GOOD star wars DVDs for j00) b) ....i don't have a b. Nevermind. |

| 3 words. Grand...Admiral...Thrawn You cast I dunno, Ed Harris or maybe Sean Connery, Jude law has the look, maybe with some weight and age, someone old, strong and wise to play him in 7, 8 and 9, the movies will be imposible to suckify, it's against all science that they can be bad with a good actor playing Thrawn. God, just thinking about it... Hey if you guys like Zahn did you read the Spectre of the Past, Visions of the Future? Those were some good reads, I just took a trip on a bus from Boston to Vegas got to read them both in like 4 long sittings. Right up to par with HttE, DFR, TLC. Really good. Quote:
