+23 Internets | Tropic Thunder Might as well get a thread on this, movie looks like the next big comedy next to PE. Hopefully ben and JB are back to making good movies.

| It's going to be interesting seeing some of the "OMG RACISM" backlash that the movie will get in response to Downey's character.

| To be honest I don't think his "blackface" character will be much more than a tiny mention. Popular media has gotten over the "omg thats racist" for the most part. It just doesn't sell the products in the commercial breaks nearly as well as it did in the 90s. I think a polarized version may occur: it's a Ben stiller movie and Downey is playing the character it may be received very well. |

+16 Internets | "Shit Blows Up" is a strong contestant for best tagline ever. And Nick Nolte is one of the best american actor in activity. He may not have the broadest range, but he has a texture, and inner fissure,a "I went through hell and back" thing that has no match. Affliction, Clean, Hotel Rwanda, The Thin Red Line, Hulk comes to mind in the recent years...

+25 Internets | Mother Night, if you haven't seen it, really plays to Nick Nolte's strengths. A fucking *BAD ASS* movie for sure. Nick Nolte, John Goodman, and Alan Arkin. It could have been about coloring books for fucking kids and still have been awesome. But yeah, I'll watch just about anything with Nick Nolte in it. Peaceful Warrior with anyone else? No dice. With Nick Nolte? Sign my ass up for a 4 day goddamn marathon.

+23 Internets | It's been pretty great seeing Robbert Downey cleaned up and back into the mix. Been a big fan of him for a long time, was it Kiss Kiss bang bang that got him back into the mix? Anyways whether it was JF or whoever that did the casting for Iron man, Kudos to them. It was about as spot on as you can get next to stewart Playing Professor X. Still down about Heath Ledger, some people might think its stupid for carring about that shit but whatever. They make my life more enjoyable which I cant say about alot of people.

+29 Internets | Nolte also turned in an awesome performance for The Good Thief. How much you like the movie largely depends on how much you like Nolte and heist movies, but for the discerning Nolte fan you should definitely check it out. |
