| Scorpion King theatrical version was horrible, it's hard to paint it any other way. The story was mildly disjointed and several points in the movie didn't make sense. The deleted scenes that actually explain wtf is happening in a bunch of the theatrical release would have made it much better, but it was crippled without them. That said, Mummy 3 looks fun.

| I actually remember reading that the Scorpion King was to be the first of three movies explaining the character. I guess they dumped those deleted scenes when they went for a stand-alone, rather than a new franchise. /shrug I did chuckle when I saw that the Mummy 3 script wasn't up to Rachel Weisz standards... I guess when they finally changed her character name to "Random Piece of Ass", that was the last straw. Did she think the first two movies were works of art? |

| Romo is a manwhore | The only problem with the Scorpion King is that is has ZERO connection to the events portrayed at the beginning of Mummy 2. It details how he came into Power, but does not offer any evidence towards what made him rouse an army and go on the war path. |

| WTF? Jackass sucks too. Where one makes the connection between hating The Mummy and loving Jackass I don't know. But yea, get all defensive over some mindless action flick. This is the place to pick your battle. |

I just hope the writing is halfway decent. When so much time elapses between a franchise the reemergence usually just signifies an attempt to cash in. Im guessing that Rachel Weisz turned down the role

| Weisz did win an oscar since the last Mummy film, she's a bit more busy than those days. Though she was in Eragon so she needs to just never complain about a script sucking ever.

| Does it seem odd that this preview seemed more enticing than the new Indiana Jones preview? I have yet to watch the new Indiana Jones movie mainly because of the reviews it got and the side kick actor(God please do not let them make an Indiana sequel with just mainly him in it) they chose. In fact just have the son get killed and replace the concept with a prodigy student and a different actor. This movie looks like it will be fun. I am kind of wondering WTF at Jet Li being in it though. I did notice one actress though that might make this movie solid, and it was acknowledged, Michelle Yeoh. I am laughing at how the script was too poor for Rachel Weisz, but good enough for Michelle Yeoh. Now which of these two actresses do you think I would have more respect for when it comes down to acting? |

| The Mummy has been on various movie channels over the last week and I have to watch it every time it's on. They can have my 8 bucks for a third installment. PS: Is anyone else fucking tired of the 'looking up at a rain of arrows' bit that's in every movie with more than one bow these days? It was a cool effect in Hero during the 'red' scene on the roof. It was passable the second time at the end of the movie. It was bearable for the "lol, fight in the shade" moment in 300. But fucking stop already. /rant off |
