+11 Internets | ... I meant that he was already a baby once with the physical features (but not size) of an old man, so he should've been an old man as far as size but with baby skin etc. I imagine that would've been way too hard to do. |

| I expect even they thought it would make logical sense to keep him old man sized w/baby skin, but decided to forego some logic in lieu of more effect.

+3 Internets | I also kind of had to grin and bear it through the kid/toddler parts. Yeah it makes sense, but the sudden and obvious switch from Brad Pitt to RandomKid01 didn't do it for me. I would have preferred they found a way to tell the rest of the story without showing it or something. Actually if it went straight from Teen Pitt to dying infant it would have worked better for me. |

| I thought the movie itself was brilliant; the concept is even more so. Though it was a bit long, each scene melded into the next one with such simplicity that it made the length of the movie bearable. From the actual technicality of the dancing to the little detail of the scar on the kid and the baby before he passed away is what really did it for me. Then, the fact that it seemed like each person he connected with had some form of closure -- being it the lady in Russia who had an affair with him (swimming in the lake), to all the people who he see die. Nearing the end, I had to hold my tears in after Benjamin started to show symptoms of old age (dementia). Very sad near the end. What could've been better? If they showed the retrograde clock to finally stop. I mean, they did show the humming bird again. Good movie. Not as good as Slumdog Millionaire, but certainly worth a watch in the theater. ![]()

+58 Internets | It was pretty decent, definitely not as good as I had hoped it'd be. Possibly a top 5 of 2008, if so, just barely. I was really excited to see this when I saw the first trailer then as more and more time went by I lost a little bit of interest until here I am seeing it a month after release. The acting was pretty good, Pitt wasn't as good as Rourke but he did well. Cate Blanchett is just not 'turn your head' pretty to me, for him to be so struck by her and to write things like the most beautiful woman I've ever seen made me roll my eyes a little. What's really weird is the end when she's holding an infant she's banged for me, thinking this little baby's dick has been in my mouth. Maybe I'm just a sicko. I always hate when they make relationships seem perfect on film though, you don't see her being a bitch a week out of each month, just this unconditional, never leave the bedroom love, totally ruins realistic relationship transition for me Again pretty quality flick and a pretty positive message for the most part about basically not wasting your life imo. |

| I think the reason why they did that is because we see them (both) living in turmoil before they get together. Then it goes back to it after Benjamin tells Daisy that he can't go on being the father. From what I saw, their relationship was anything but perfect.

| I haven't read the thread, though I intend to because these tend to be funny as fuck, and I thought the film was pretty cool. I liked the non-standard love story and recommended this to my friends. |

+7 Internets | I watched this last night. I really enjoyed it. There were parts that made me sad. it made me think about my own life. I really liked how he just let things happen and amazing things did happen for him. I am always trying to have control, so I need to loosen up some. I like movies like this, although I may leave sad, when I think back on it, it gives me a good feeling. I can surely se how its the new 'Gump' movie, but who cares? It was a really good film. |

| A Bearded Gnome | I stopped watching this about an hour in. Cutting to that old hag you couldn't understand every 2 minutes was too annoying for me. It ruined the movie for me.
