Uh why would they be against her doing it? There were other topless chicks in the movie... the book has her naked. I am pretty sure she said something along the lines of not wanting to appear nude in any film so her daddy would be able to watch without it being creepy.

I realize every guy on the planet wants to do terrible things to Jessica Alba (and personally speaking, I just don't see it, but that's a different conversation altogether). But do you really think she brings anything of value to a movie? She's a terrible actress, she certainly isn't funny in comedies, and you can get much better eye candy to fill a role if that's all you're going for. Also, she's never been able to open a movie at the box office (notwithstanding Sin City, which no one really showed up to see solely or even primarily because she was in it).

Shrug I think zohan looks funny, I didn't even recognize adam sandler the first time I saw the trailer. I think this is a deviation from his normal role simply because hes playing someone middle eastern, and i think he has the half ass accent down and hair pretty good. Also first time seeing rob schiender as middle eastern cracked me up. I think it will be decent. Love Guru /yawn. I never find mike meyes comedy to be funny, not even austin powers, I think they are all the lamest jokes ever. The only thing I found funny in austin powers movies was in the first one when he pees forever. All his fuk me fuk yu and yeh babies and shagging I didn't think were funny at all nor sharks with frikkin laser beams.

Both movies look like major suckfests to me, but I'd probably watch them if they came on cable some day and I was bored.

Alba is super hot, but I prefer her in the "Idle Hands" days when she wasn't super famous yet. Not that I wouldn't touch her now, but just saying she seemed a little more real way back then.

Same here, but then again, Sandler going back to the silly routines might be more beneficial. Hope it is less formulaic than some of his later movies, and much less formulaic than Will Farrell's.

Love Farrell and his type of comedy, but it's getting overused and stale.

Second, on the Love Guru, Alba is eye candy, but Myers looks to be playing a very similar role to Powers, if a lot less interesting. Maybe a few chuckles, but I dread to think (though I'm probably right) that the best part of the film has already been shown in the trailer.

Indeed. In reference to Iron Man, I'd take Gwynneth Paltrow over Alba anyday, especially with here ability to act.

He really hasn't doing any super silly shit in like 10 years ago when he was doing Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, etc. Take a look at his movies list:

So, he got into the business with his silly guy schtick then started doing serious shit, and I don't remember anyone complaining. His comedies got smarter, and his dramatic stuff was pretty well received. After 10 years, he decides to do another silly one and he's getting shit on. I don't remember the retarded frat boys cleaning out their bongs remarking on how "Airheads was just too low brow for me!".

Seriously, guys, he's given us like 14-15 years of completely watchable shit. You want him to do Hamlet? Or go the other way, a 2 hour movie of him getting hit in the crotch with different kind of sports balls while "Entrance of the Gladiators" plays.

Zohan is another movie that aims at a certain crew of customers instead of attempting to go for the big bucks. Why make a heavy duty funded movie that might flop when you can make an okay movie that'll return something?

If half the decent looking actresses out there weren't wrapped up in better projects, I'm sure Alba would have more competition. Unfortunately they keep using her to get the quick buck instead of using someone new and skilled. Then again, Mike Myers might be able to get her to accomplish something.

You can tell yourself at 25 that humiliating yourself for comedy and cash is fine. But, it's just like any job. You want to move up. Better to see him expand his skills rather than become some type-casted sucker like Seagal, or the same 2 roles Farley and Spade did. If he did 15 years of Happy Gilmore repeats, I'd have written him off years ago.

Personally, I think it would be fucking bad ass if he went from starting with slapstick & dick/fart jokes then 20 years later was getting Oscar nods. I can't ever see a reason to want someone not to grow or expand.
