| The Longest Yard and Chuck & Larry were some of his better movies in my opinion. Took him out of the whole, ridiculous voice / character roles he had done in the past. I think I like Sandler more when he's normal. Mr. Deeds is a good example of how all of his movies should be, it was packed with funny and he still played a pretty normal character. The way he acts in those movies is how I picture his demeanor on a regular day-to-day basis.

| A little late to the party, but I have to say that even though I can't stand Adam Sandler in general, a couple of the things in the Zohan preview made me chuckle. That being said, those are probably the only funny lines in the movie. As far as Jessica Alba goes, my lust for her is undying (especially after the swimming scene in Into The Blue), but I agree she brings nothing other than looks to a movie. The "X is hotter than Y" debate is a highly personal thing, but I personally have a propensity for "cute" rather than classically beautiful (for instance, I'd do terrible, terrible things to Kristin Davis) so Alba hits that spot perfectly. |

+16 Internets | Chuck & Larry was surprisingly sensitive and sensible with the subject matter, but more importantly it had a lesbian gangsta rap track! That must account for something!

Edit: Then again the reason I liked Click so much might of been because of Kate. Oh man... the things I would do to that woman. Last edited by Lost Ranger : 05-23-2008 at 05:51 PM. | |

| I didn't care for Chuck and Larry. The funny that existed was often too obvious for me to laugh. Click was cool, but given the choice I'd rather watch Mr. Destiny, a similar moral story that is better in every way. It's always the little bit additions I like in his films rather than the films themselves. Hes a good comedian but the plot, the script, the acting are almost always a little weak. I think the one truly solid film he's produced is Big Daddy. It has all the weird funny shit I love and a great plot. The only weak part is the court battle, especially where he questions his dad. Regardless, that film will outlive all his other work to date. |

| My film analysis teacher last semester tried to convince me that comedy actors had to be far more talented than any other types of roles. I replied by telling her that comedians don't act. They perform. The fact that they change their name in every movie doesn't mean they're not still playing the same character every single time. There are some comedy "actors" that can act... Mike Meyers and Adam Sandler are not among them. GDI that teacher was an idiot on an epic level. She tried to defend George Lucas for fucks sake.

+10 Internets | How the fuck can any of you defend Little Nicky? That movie was abslutely wretched in every single way. There was nothing redeeming about the movie at all. The characters were horrible and annoying. The acting was beyond awful. The writing was wretched, and the story was terrible. And that is all ignoring the stupid voice he put on for the entire movie. I loved the old stuff, I loved Punch Drunk Love and Reign Over Me, but there's just no excuse for Little nicky.
