| After seeing the Zohan trailer the first thing that came to mind is "I really hope that movie completely fails."

| I still hope Zohan will be genius, but I'll wait until it reaches cable to see. I actually like Sandler's slight deviations from the flat-out comedy, and the irrelevant freaks interjected into his films such as the mcdonald's prisoner in "The Longest Yard". |

| You actually think Zohan is going to be "genius" with the sophomoric humor very blatantly displayed in the trailer? I'm glad you mentioned irrelevant freaks, because Rob Schneider is in the movie. Last edited by Bristlebane : 05-21-2008 at 06:16 AM. |

+4 Internets | I also totally don't get the Jessica Alba thing. There is just something really weird about her face. Fantastic body though. But seriously, when I watched Sin City the first time and didn't really know who she was, my first thought was "I really wish they'd have gotten someone cuter to play the stripper." Yes, I would still have sex with her given the choice. Both of those movies look terrible. Of course, the mouth breathing dip shits over at youtube are commenting "LOL this will rock!!1!!" Christ almighty. |

+10 Internets | Love Guru I thought looked pretty retarded but when I saw the trailer for Zohan on TV the other night I laughed, I was actually semi looking forward to it. Granted I wont go to the theater to see it, but I'll put it up on my netflix as soon as it hits, or watched a pirated version of it a few weeks after theater release. For all the Sandler movies I recall see'ing I've never not liked any of them that I can remember. |

+39 Internets | I dunno, I think Myers has been pretty consistently funny over the years. That said, I never saw the 3rd Austin Powers so I can't comment on that. The first two were hilarious. And I think Myers has about 50 times the comedic range of Sandler, he can play numerous different roles in a movie pretty well. And he's not been in anywhere NEAR the number of movies Sandler has been. I think people are fed up with him merely because the Austin Powers series was so fucking huge, because outside of that he's been in maybe half a dozen movies otherwise (not counting voice over work), compared to Sandler who's been in at last two to three movies every year for the past 12. Come to think of it, Myers has only been in half a dozen fairly major comedies as an actor: 3xAustin Powers, 2x Wayne's World, and So I Married an Axe Murderer. There's also The Cat In The Hat, but that was a kid's movie. I think anyway, never saw it. I don't think I'm missing anything. So I don't really get people complaining that he's oversaturated or stuff like that, because it's simply untrue. All that said, the previews for Love Guru looked fucking awful, which is no surprise, as everything the Maple Leafs touch turns to shit. Or gets leukemia. As far as Alba goes, her face looks sexcellent when she's all made up and the lighting's good, but I could totally see her looking average at best in person. Her body you cannot argue with, though, she's got an amazing figure and if you disagree yes, you are gay. I can totally accept people thinking her face is average, though. |

+6 Internets | Don't worry, you're not. Although, Alec Baldwin was good in it. |

Nice try pinning me as some kind of dickriding fan. You seem to think you're the only one who sees the masked adulation I have for Sandler. Apparently no one else has your clairvoyance. Either that, or they all understand English. I already stated my hypothesis on these films earlier. | |

| The Love Guru caused me physical pain watching the trailer. Zohan merely looks Waterboy terrible. I can't decide whether having the bad guys be Hezbollah or Hamas or whatever the fuck they are is a brave humor move or in terribly bad taste. |

| I agree with the thread title. They both feel similar and are both ridiculous. Why do people give these movies money? They'll likely be a success too because they seem to be spending millions upon millions on advertising. This will fuel other companies to make more ass movies and soon we will be overrun (at least more than we already are!) |
