Need the name of a John Lithgow movie...

I saw a movie on TBS the other day which I cannot remember the name of.

It had John Lithgow in it and he was on some Runaway Train in the northern part of the US/Canada. I do know two things however:

1. It is not the movie "Runaway Train" with Jon Voight.

2. It is not the movie "The Abyss" (either regular or special edition).

Any help would be appreciated!

Distant Thunder? Distant Thunder (1988)

It was the only thing I could find on imdb that seemed to fit the bill.

I wouldnt call it an internet meme just yet. The abyss thing is basically an in-joke exclusive to this forum is it not, or did it start up at 4chan or elsewhere

I thought I've seen it pop up in 4chan once or twice, hence calling it a meme. I could just be making things up though.
