| Death Note I just found out that the Live Action Death Note movie is coming to the states and will be in some screens around the country. I checked with NCM Fathom. Groundbreaking Cinema Entertainment and they are showing it 5 miles from my house. =) Anyway, just passing it along if you check the listings in your area you might be able to catch it. It was a really good adaptation of the anime. |

| I loved the Death Note anime, but the ending sucked balls. Really after L died it started to go downhill. I just read the Death Note book tho and that was good.

+5 Internets | I thought the movie sucked balls (only bothered watching the first one). Some things just don't translate smoothly from manga -> live action. Characters like L go from freakly underslept but cool characters in the manga/anime -> emo fags. Plus lots of detail gets lost in the movies due to length. |

| Interesting, I might be excited if I didn't already own it on DVD. Its better than I thought it would be, but still not as good as the anime. If you are looking to pick up imports online that are already in the US check here. Has Asian dramas, anime, movies etc at decent prices. Otherwise check an Asian market if your city has one.

| Wouldn't say that at all. The manga ending is more true to the spirit of the series I would say; the event is just MUCH more pathetic in the manga. The anime's is still good enough, I prefer the series overall as an anime. But both are darn good.

| Just got back from seeing this. The movie itself was decent. The 10,000 screaming twelve year olds were not. I've seen less audience participation at some rocky horror showings. Sadly I'm not kidding... But yeah, definately makes me want to see the sequel (if i remember right there was a live action death note 2) |

| Just saw this as well, I thought it was pretty damn good, only a couple plot changes but thats understandable for trying to fit a huge amount of the plot into a movie. I still thought they did a damn good job on L, and the english voices really weren't bad at all, and all the parts with Ryuk were spot on perfect (which is all that matters really~). But jesus christ it was like an elementary school took their field trip to come see this thing, where the hell did all these damn kids come from? |
