| 3k for that? for all that it can do? It's projection is 3ft wider than my wall downstairs. Surround sound, Ipod dock, Xbox 360 and PS3 control, and shitton of other things.... Purchased.

| Im pretty sure those are just ports for the xbox and the other games. not consoles themselves. radio shack sells the same connectors for 3 bucks. who nees an r2d2 ipod? i can use my ipod anywhere i want, im not lugging a blue trashcan around town so i can listen to Rob Zombie mp3s. that thing looks cool but sucks for practicality. you can buy a real robot toy for less and it will do cooler things. |

It's more than just that though. It connects to your Surround Sound as well which as we all know is badass for movies and music. For me, ALL my music is on my Ipod all 3500 whatever songs and having an Ipod dock is awesome, but it's not what sold me, and I don't need nor want to lug that bitch around in my car when I have a perfectly good Ipod dock in my car. See, my whole downstairs is just for entertainment... an entertainment basement I guess you can say. Down here I have 5 top of the line gaming PCs all networked together, all with dual monitor setup and countless games to network with. Pool table, 56in TV 7.1 surround sound, Xbox 360 and a PS3 both hooked up. Small fridge filled with everything from Coke to Mt.Dew. It's just an overall enjoyable environment to have fun in. Whether you like just hanging out and shooting pool while BSing with buds or a hardcore gamer, or a console gamer or movie buff. So basically, all the R2D2 is, is a 260in TV/DVD/Console player pretty much. It's a novelty item... something you roll out when all your buds come over to play the 360 or PS3 or watch and movie and see this little fucker roll out and pop that shit on the wall. Just another item to add to the entertainment basement is all. Regardless though, everyting it has and does and for 3k... isn't that bad a deal. Hell, the TV I have down here was worth that much by itself. I'm not even gonna get into how much the fucking pool table cost me.

| heh man i get the point, im a huge star wars nerd but i just dont want my r2 unit only being things i already own and also if one of those things breaks down like say the receiver, then everything else is broken too, a 3000 dollar paperweight. ive been burned before. i owned a tv/vcr combo i had to throw away cuz the TV portion went south even tho the vcr was still solid. |
