I watch 'the batman' now, and I think it's the best cartoon on television, barring only a few other shows. It plays on Boomerang at 1030 central, you should give it a try.



As you can see, the villains are really fucked up and twisted.

Looks great. I tried watching and episode of "The Batman" and couldnt stand it. Just ended up going back to JL and crap. Maybe I should give it another shot.

Side note : Pretty excited the still are having Conroy do the voice of batman, not sure if I would have liked anyone else.

I think I remember something about the third movie is supposed to open with the jokers trial and twoface goes insane or something. I really hope they get another actor instead of just killing off the joker.

I'm pretty sure that they won't, and that bothers me. They have a tradition of not doing just that in visual media. Most people will say some PC bullshit, but really, it's more of a disgrace to the actor's memory. What if the role sucked? What if they weren't proud of it? Does Ledger really want to be remember as a psychopathic clown for all time? Mind you, this is my favorite fictional character, and I think it is an honor to play such a huge role, but I'm sure not everyone sees it that way. And that's just one reason for not killing off the Joker, let alone any role an actor portrays right before death. I think the most obvious reason, however, is what actor would actually want their death to mean the end of a line of art? Which would WANT to say "I died after this role, and so, let no one ever be able to imagine that role again, in any way, ever." Any actor that does is a pompous ass and deserves nothing but our scorn, in my opinion. I don't feel Ledger was that sorta guy, for the record.

Shit, I'm probably rambling. Whatever. Point is, that pisses me off, the very idea.

The whole "Gotham Knight" movie is a small series of Batman movies made by different people with different styles and takes on it. So it's like heavy metal like that. it's also like animatrix, and probably other things I'm just not thinking of right now.

It's interesting how cool/badass they can make a guy with no super powers and yet still wears a cape. Batman sure has come a long way from his first comic book.

Saw this last night. If you like Batman you'll love this little grouping of short stories. They did a really good job with the story placement all being after the Batman Begins movie. It's pretty much like what they did with those Matrix animated shorts.
