Gokou was like 7 or something (probably younger) in Dragon Ball. Why they're casting a 24/25 year old baffles me.

Because of $$. None of the producers or directors or actors give a shit about the anime or the manga. They aren't trying to recreate Dragonball as a movie. All the got is a product licence and a desire to get there mother fucking movie check.
