Justice League - The movie

is now being cast...

Will Jessica Biel finally put those glorious guns to good use as a bona fide super heroine?

That's the static at the moment -- earthbound goddess Biel may actually portray one in the JUSTICE LEAGUE flick that's currently collecting cast. As pretty much the only acceptable candidate to play the character (and I only say that because she's a personal obsession), the beautiful Biel would use her astonishing physique for various bullet-deflecting, golden lasso-whirling and villain-punching as the famed comic book Amazon Wonder Woman.

Warner Bros. isn't offering official confirmation (claiming they're holding out until the entire superteam is gathered in the Hall of Justice), but Biel would obviously be a viable name/face/body for a potential WONDER WOMAN solo spinoff, which has had difficulty getting the invisible jet off the runway. (Curiously, the comic incarnation of Wonder Woman recently decided the fate of Maxwell Lord, the JUSTICE LEAGUE movie's rumored villain.)
Expect similar levels of talent to fill out the costumes of Superman, Batman, The Flash and Aquaman, likely making it the most expensive blockbuster yet.

She'd be a perfect Wonder Woman. She's hot as hell, plus her man shoulders and 22" pythons would fit the role great.

Latest casting rumors I've seen have Ryan Gosling as Batman and the dude from Smallville as Superman. Neither rumor being anything close to confirmed.

Pretty sure one of the few confirmations was no Bale or Routh as Batman/Superman. With the rumor being they'd play both in a future World's Finest type movie=P Nerds starting dream rumors no doubt.

I doubt Tom Welling (the guy from Smallville) will play Superman. I vaguely remember reading that the powers that be wanted to keep Smallville separate from the movie franchises, and that is why he wasn't considered for the lead role in Superman Returns.

Although I wouldn't be upset if he does somehow end up getting the role. There are far, far crappier people than him who could be chosen.

Im pretty sure Tom Welling was offered the role of Superman in the last movie and turned it down. I would be suprised if he decided to play Superman in this.

What confounded me was WB picking George Miller as director.

Babe? Babe - Pig in the City? Happy Feet (the disgustingly cute penguin movie)?

Excellent resume for directing an action film - not.

Who knows, maybe he might succeed in working on character/storyline development with action thrown in for flavor a la X-Men (I-II).

EDIT: However, I think Biel could be a solid choice for JL, as well as the standalone movie - *if* they can agree on a script.
EDIT2: WB should keep Bale and Routh cast as Batman/Superman, especially if they plan on continuing both franchises.

Ryan Gosling as Batman? Not sure after Bale, but he is a solid actor.

I agree. There is a 99.9% chance that this movie will suck worse than Batman and Robin.

According to Wikipedia he was never seriously considered for Superman Returns. I'm sure there is an actual article or publicist quote to be found via google.

As long as Smallville is still on the air Tom Welling will never play Superman in a movie. The entire premise of Smallville is that it's Superman before he became Superman. To show Tom Welling as a fully-fledged Superman in a movie would effectively end Smallville.

They could, however, make the Justice League movie a follow-up to Smallville once it ends its run. They've already had several Justice League characters on the show, and I'm not sure how much longer Smallville is going to last. In that case Tom Welling would be the perfect actor for Superman.

Happy Feet is an amazing film, do not dismiss it as cute. The religious bashing that ensued put it near the top of my list of favs.

Pretty sure this season is the last one for Smallville..could change but it's looking like it is for the moment.

You are kidding right? Alba has the physique of a starving ethiopian. There's no way I'd expect this physique to be able to lift 100+ tons and be able to go toe-to-toe with Superman. She'd need to go on a serious weight training program and eat a sammich or ten.
