| Not to totally derail but: The problem with Ferrel is as stated: he is not a lead comedy actor. Most of his movies play on the fact that 'omg it's Will Ferrel, that guy that used to be funny on SNL like 10 years ago' without actually having more substance then those stupid local car lot comercials on at 3am. He has his moments, but those are like drops in the water compared to everything else, unfortunately.. Come to think of it, most of the newer SNL generation suffer from the exact same thing. Perhaps it is from us overvaluing what star power they get from being on SNL. In the past, SNL alum made themselves into stars instead of being told they are stars...

+4 Internets | Anchorman and Zoolander were both hilarious 99% of the time he was on the screen, so I disagree with you. Also, Stranger than Fiction was good and Talladega Nights had some funny scenes (though overall I thought it was pretty weak). And then his cameo in Wedding Crashers was great as well. But Semi-Pro, Blades of Glory, Bewitched, and Kicking and Screaming were all pretty forgettable, so I think his problem is that he does too many movies, not that he's no longer funny. |

+17 Internets | This movie was fucking hilarious. I'm not a big Ferrell fan by any stretch, but every second of Step Brothers was nothing but gold. Go see if for the final and end-credits scenes alone. I loved how they made you both loathe and love every single character. They were all absurdly annoying yet so damn funny you couldn't help but laugh at them. |

| Lets see the standard will ferrel movie outline: 1. Will Ferrel plays nice but dumb guy. 2. John C Reilly plays not quite so nice but dumb guy 3. Some sort of incident taking place before the movie's time frame is used as a plot device 4. ??? 5. Profit!
