Saw the Akira one but not the one about Dragon Ball....and no this is not the chinese live action one that sucked more than...well...yeah

wonder if they will keep true to the anime...well I hope not- for the random goku junk shots...but him patting bulmas crotch saying no balls would be funny.

This is going to be a fun one. Spike from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series is going to be Piccolo and Chow Yun-Fat is going to be Master Roshi. Holy shit, haha.

People who are hoping 12 year olds and anime nerds have a large enough fan base to make a profit. In fact I'd bet there are more man-child anime fans than 12 year olds who will go see this and argue over why it sucks.

Well I can see that being the target demographic, but fucking shit you can see a big pile of fail forming just from the casting choices alone. I really think with some Matrix style CGI, and a proper cast with a producer who was a fan of the series when he was younger a good movie would be made but this. I guess slap on a title, film a direct to VHS quality movie, and watch the dollars roll in from the raping the dragon ball name is what Hollywood is good at. Sometimes I fool myself into thinking someone would see a script and say hey wait a minute this is fucking terrible lets pass on this one.

cant do the cell saga without the android saga, can't do the android saga without the frieza saga, can't do the frieza saga without the saiyan saga, can't do saiyan saga without the original dragonball story, etc.

no matter how you look at it its not reasonable to think that they can pull off dragon ball in the way we all know it in one two hour movie. whether or now what we get will be entertaining has yet to be seen, but one thing for sure, its going to bare very little resemblance to the anime. theres a lot they can do with a 100 million dollar budget. i hope they are good enough to at least throw in an OVER 9000 joke.

Jesus, this actually upsets me. Akira is one thing, but the whores in Hollywood desecrating the Dragonball series just reinforces my strong belief that they need to be stopped with physical force last Thursday.

I blame the people who watch Friends for this. Every DVD you own gives those nuthuggers license to commit these travesties.
