Despite what Hootie mentioned.. Dragonheart also is another movie that beats Eragon quite easily. It's pretty sad how big of a rip off Eragon is from StarWars - thrown into some kind of fantasy setting. If you aren't aware of how MANY things are quite similar, check spoiler;

It is a time of an evil empire. The leader of the empire knows the same mystical power as the group of knights he hunted down and destroyed in order to create the empire. (The emperor in Eragon is more like Darth Vader than the Emperor in Star Wars, as both were part of the knights before falling to evil).

Both open with a princess racing home with something stolen from the evil empire that could be hope to the rebellion. The empire's servents attack and the princess is captured, but not before the princess can get the object to safety, sending it to an old man who is the last (or one of the last) of a group of mystical knights with magic powers.

The object ends up in the hands of a farm boy of unknown heritage raised by his uncle by mistake.

The farm boy leaves home after the empire's servents kill his uncle.

The person the object was ment for gives the farm boy a special sword and teaches him a mystical power before he is killed by the servents of the empire.

Boy practices magic by lifting rocks (admittedly this rips off Empire Strikes Back rather than the original Star Wars).

Boy meets older gruff, older person that seems to care about himself more than the conflict between the empire and rebellion.

Boy and gruff person rescue princess who is being tortured to reveal location of the rebels hidden base.

Princess leads them to the hidden base, arriving slightly before the empire does.

Empire attacks the hidden base. A large battle commences in which the farm boy saves the day and becomes a hero by hitting the enemy's weak spot while the main villain is distracted by the farm boy's ally swooping in from above.

So yeah, baaaad movie. If you were being sarcastic.. gg, I'm owned ;p.
As for the Happening.. in the same boat really! Both are pretty terrible, (although I'd rate Happening higher), getting smashed in reviews and such as well, lol.

This movie was fucking horrible, just horrible, its something film school kids would make as a project. Marky Mark has to be the whimpiest fag on the planet.

the only upside to this movie was the intricate suicides and my little zooey deschanel who i just wanted to cuddle!

One of the interesting suicide scenes M Knight even repeats. That pissed me off more than some of the /facepalm dialogue.

Well at least the gun sharing copycat later on in the field wasnt shown. we just heard the bullets go off and we assume they were taking turns with the gun like in the beginning.

He was listed on IMDB as "Joey", the dude that kept calling on her cell. So only his voice was in the film for a brief moment, don't then you ever see him from what I can remember (trying to forget I even saw the movie).

Tonight, Steven Spielberg thanks the heavens as a movie comes to take the heat off of Crystal Skull.

Saw it tonight. Many times you will read reviews here at FoH of various games and movies and think "It can't be THAT bad. They are just overreacting because it's cool/funny." In most cases, you'd be right.

But not this time my friends. No. Not this time.

This movie was AWFUL. A-W-F-U-L. Where do I even start?

The acting was terrible. Marky Mark just phoned this one in. His wife (forgot her name, not looking it up) was just as bad (though I'd still hit it.)1 Shit, so was everyone else. Also, what was up with the army guy? It was like Adam Sandler meets Gomer Pyle. I seriously felt embarrassed for these actors.

Painfully forced and inappropriate attempts at humor as well as lots of unintentional comedy (zoo.)

God awful dialog. The lines in this movie are like a sci-fi fan fic come to life.

Terrible flow. Not sure what the fancy schmancy wording for this is, but the way the movie moved from one scene to another often felt very sloppy, jarring and amateurish.

Just fucking awful. It was very apparent that the crowd that was there when I watched felt the same. Do not waste your money. If the ending of the movie was a build up to a final reveal with a sudden cut to Rick Ashley singing "Never gonna give you up" with a big "YOU PAID $10 TO GET RICK ROLLED LOL" message flashing over and over, it would have been better than it turned out.

Seriously, wtf was up with the whole part with the old woman? It was TOTALLY out of place. At that point, if the doll would have come to life and attacked them I'd have not been surprised.

Why did the train "lose all communication" with the outside world? You mean they couldn't get ahold of anyone ANYWHERE?

What the fuck did the group size have to do with anything? What possible reason would they attack larger groups, then smaller groups, then even smaller groups?

Did they seriously outrun the wind?

man dont even start me on the larger and smaller number fucking bullshit. the movie starts off with 2 people just 2 and one of them goes suicidal. right there it destroys the big group little group theory. then we have marky mark safe in his little 5 man raid running around the countryside yet spanish guy in the jeep with 4 other people all kill themselves. then we have lonely girl on the cell phone with her mother and she says everyone in princeton is dead, she is ALONE inside her house, she should be safe. nuh uh she goes nuts and presumably jumps through the window to her death.

btw i dont think crazy woman killed herself cuz the plants made her. i think marky mark discovering her weirdo doll is what set her off, she was crazy to begin with. the question i had was did Hotdog man and his wife kill themselves too? he was in tune with nature and as far as i know neither one went nuts. all we hear is the gunshots in their camp but no way to know if those shots came from hotdogman and spouse. another cool scene in this crapfest was the hillbillies ganking the two asshole teenagers who tried to kick the door down. that fucking one kid had it coming

i wasnt going to bother with spoilers either, but as was shown with the hate i got for liking movies some of you dont approve of. there might be people who liked this and dont want an asshole ruining the movie for them no matter how crappy we think it is. everyone is entitled to their tastes.
