| Across the Universe didn't see anything about this and searching didnt uncover anything. trailer info claims its a musical, but the trailer itself doesnt really seem to reflect that notion. either way the art direction seems very original. the scene with uncle sam reaching out of the poster and grabbing at the guy freaks me out. looks good, cant wait |

| Saw it, it was fucking HORRIBLE. The sound quality was shit, 5 min of story then shitty ass lip synching to shitty ass beatles remixes didnt help any. 0/10. Walked out 30 min in to see the last hour of Resident Evil, well worth it. |

| Hey, I enjoyed it. Not a great great movie by any means. But enjoyable, some terrible Beatles covers mixed with some nice ones. The ladies love it. They should have nixed the Jimi Hendrix character though. Why? |

| You must be stupid. I'm not even going to point out why, but I'll give you a one word hint, "musical." I won't comment on your comment about sound quality, because I understand in Alabama none of the theaters have technology that is less than 15 yrs old. |

| saw it. impressed with the visuals at times, disappointed at others(the circus was a bit much). sound was fine, story was mediocre but i dont expect strong stories from musicals. basically imagine taking a story, mixing it with beatles songs, and at times being too faggy artsy and you got this. would not recommend if you were on acid/shrooms. overall, well worth watching in theater, great to take a girl to.

| Usually only fucks with female pilots, 'cause they got the illest cockpits | Girlfriend made me see it. She seemed to like it, I didn't care for it at all, really. It did manage to get a couple beetles songs stuck back into my head though.

| Loved it, every minute of it, and I'm going to watch it again soon. But here's the thing: It's basically a 2-hour music video of Beatles songs. If you go into it understanding that and the idea doesn't bother you, you'll love it. Otherwise, you'll spend most of the time wondering what the fuck the point of it is. There's almost no plot. What little plot there is exists only to string the songs together. It does it well, but the core of it is still about the music, and the fact that Evan Rachel Wood is hot, and that dude she dates looks kinda like Paul McCartney. Also there's the black guy who is a thinly-veiled Jimi Hendrix, and a chick who is a thinly-veiled Janis Joplin. And a lesbian Asian chick who is ridiculously hot, and is apparently the Hong Kong equivalent of Celine Dion in real life (but with, you know, a soul). I'm not sure who she's supposed to be. I give it an 8.5/10, with that caveat: know what it is going into it, otherwise it'll just seem bizarre and you'll probably want to bail. |

| Just to point out, there wasn't really any lip syncing in the movie. Every character you saw sang their own songs. I have the DVD and it has an enormous amount of "bonus" features that shows them all recording the songs, etc. They also said something on the DVD that some percentage of the performance was "live" from the filming part of the movie, but I don't know how true that is. The thing that gets me is they can put out a casting call and get these 4-5 people who all have really great voices and can act and are all good looking people, and then you have American Idol who combs the entire country holding auditions for so much longer and they find garbage like clay aiken. ??? I liked it decently, as said above the plot is pretty lame but the music videos are awesome. I'm a huge Beatles fan, been to Liverpool, the whole *10* yards, etc. What struck me the most is how appropriate the songs the Beatles wrote were for the time. I'd never thought of them in that context before.
