| I'd say the reason this movie is 'tanking' is because Blades was pretty terrible. It is formulaic. It's the same shit that happened to Carrey until he started being more diverse, though Cable Guy was really good and not his typical role. But after a couple of Ace Venturas and Dumb and Dumbers... you just don't care. Bruce Almighty was key in his resurgence and Ferrell is going to have to get his Truman Show to really break out of this rut.

| Be that as it may, it wasn't a smash hit. It only made 40mil domestic, 50 worldwide. People don't recognize it or think of it when they think of Ferrell. I think he will need one more role in that vein to really prove he isn't a one-trick pony to the world.

| Don't need to sneak in beer in some theaters. Went to Colorado a few years ago and they served draft beer and haagen daas ice cream.

| Really? I've never seen a theater where I could buy beer, never even knew such thing existed in the states. Though even if I could I would guess it would be horribly overpriced so I'd be sneaking it in anyway. |

Saw the movie, enjoyed it, it was kinda different from the others though...There was almost like 2 stories, a serious sports story offered by Woody Harrellson and the comedy sports story provided by Will Ferrell. At times I couldn't tell which was the real focus and which type of film it was. It was good, but....different. | |
