| Don't want to burst your bubble, but I too went into the movie excited to hear the soundtrack because of Senor Verdewood, and I wasn't that impressed. It certainly wasn't bad, and I guess it fit the motif in the trailer, which is what got me excited about it to begin with, but I don't think it fully translated into 2 hours and 38 minutes worth of film. Or at least my expectations were too high for "just" a soundtrack. |

| An example, apparently he stays in character for the duration of the movies shoot. A few weeks of a dude acting like a turn of the century Oil prospector, I could see it being fairly creepy and distracting for everyone else on the set.

| My friend said that he heard through the grapevine that the kid who plays the pastor wasn't the first one cast; the first one left the film because he couldn't handle Danny boy and his method acting. If you've seen the movie, you know that there are some, shall we say, "intense" scenes that don't look like you'd really have to "act" a whole lot, just sorta...take it. And by take it, I mean not drown in the field of mud that Daniel Day-Lewis is dominating you in. |
