| Uh yeah, Paul never mentioned they were twins. He was surprised at first before it clicked.

| You guys are boring. Why the hell would the director choose a not-completely-unknown actor (I would wager the vast majority of people excited to see There Will Be Blood would recognize Eli as "that emo kid from Little Miss Sunshine") and have him play two roles? Why make the brothers identical fucking twins and never address it? You guys are boring. |

| I just got this from netflix and after all of the Oscar hype I was very disappointed. I thought it was just okay. I don't really see what all the hype was. I did enjoy how it made religion look. Daniel Day Lewis was great and the cinematography was great but the movie itself was slow and I expected a bit more plot-wise. Call me crazy but I think Anton Chigur was the best acting performance of the year. I just guess I liked No Country for Old Men a lot more.

| During those days people were constantly leaving their families and moving to "The Big City"'s. He decided his family (and community) was fucking crazy and left, really not that unusual. But, he sold them out along the way. Both primary characters have to deal with these "family issues". It's pretty much the best part of the story, the deep inner personal conflicts. Old news, but it might make more sense to Jabberwocky to learn that Eli/Paul were originally played by another actor Kel O'Neill. He quit after 1/3rd of the film was finished because Daniel DL scared the shit out of him. Paul Dano had almost no time to prepare. He did an incredible job. And I love that he didn't freak out and stop the scene when he gets whacked in the ankle with the bowling ball at the end. |

| Dude, it was awesome. Daniel Day-Lewis deserved the Oscar more so than any other actor in the history of cinema. It is the greatest acting performance I have ever seen. I was a little skeptical going in, since I don't really like Paul Thomas Anderson, but Day-Lewis saved the freaking day. Good story, great cinematography, phenomenal acting. |

| What was so great about his acting? People keep jizzing all over him for his acting in this movie, but I never understood it. Yes, it was an interesting character, but was I the only one that didn't really care what happens to him, nor really develop any sympathy/empathy/hate/like towards the character? Sure, part of that may be bad writing - the movie feels like a bunch of scenes mashed up, and many scenes went on way too long. To me a good actor is someone who can draw me into the character and make me emotionally invested in their life/outcome. DDL has done so many times in previous movies, but in this movie I never really cared about him or the preacher. The son did a decent job I feel. I did lol at learning the reason why the same character plays Paul and the other twin is that the original actor quit after DDL gave him one too many bug-eyes, I guess. What a fucking pussy! I even looked him up on IMDB to make sure I never pay to see any of his movies. Heres his imdb link, I hope he is forever remembered as the guy who was scared of DDL: Kel O'Neill |
