anyone seen this able to comment if the movie is good or not? Have really high hopes and its doing pretty decent on RT considering the genre but curious if I should keep hyping this in my head or if its a disappointment.

Explain to me why you even bothered replying? I'm going to see it regardless I'de just like to know if its going to live up to the hype. The reason I asked in the first place is because a few people said they were seeing early showings.

I got to see an advanced screening of it just under two weeks ago and loved it. It's on par with every other Apatow movie.

looks like a stoner movie, i already fell for strange wilderness this year and the only people laughing at those lame jokes were other stoners. im guessing unless you got some herbage in your system, pineapple express will be a load of suck.

Well I just saw it and I was actually excited to see it and I have to say that I was pretty disappointed. Yes, it had some funny scenes but I think it tried to be more of an action movie than a comedy. It is definitely not Super Bad quality. It is not a horrible movie but it needed many more laughs and most of the good stuff I had already seen in the previews. I give it a B-/C+

I loved Superbad and didn't so much as crack a smile watching these trailers. It must be a pothead thing.

Superbad really isn't that great. The quality of comedy was just as high as any of their work, but the subject matter, pot, has far less appeal than most of it. It isn't Monty Python, or even Super Troopers, but it's solid. I laughed a lot, but I think it's bearable to wait for it to come to cable like most comedies.

Why did they open on a Wednesday? BTW if I ruled the world I'd change the word to Wensday. I don't know anyone who pronounces Wednesday like it's spelled. WTF?

Kinda disappointed as well, and i went in knowing that were trying to do a cheech and chong style buddy action movie. I think i would have appreciated it alot more if i was stoned...

definitely watchable, but just a bit better than a average comedy movie should be, but when compared to what consistently hits the market, that is a pretty big praise.
