Wow, well T1 was just flat out amazing. T2 I thought was so-so (although some scenes did own) and T3 was a very good movie. So I am pretty amazed you all liked T2 so much.

It was bad enough making CA but to go ahead and make a second arrgh. After a little bit of research I have noticed he has directed another movie:-

We are Marshall. Which don't have great reviews.

Terminator was definately a good movie and a precursor in its time, but I find it hasn't aged so well, compared to the awesomeness that is Terminator 2 : Judgement Day. This movie will always remain one of the top action / sci-fi movies in my book, forever. That said, even though Terminator 3 : Rise of the Machines was not as good as its predecessors (I blame the overuse of CGI which made the movie too polished and made it lack the grimy / dirty feel of the two prequels), it remains a very good action movie, packed with explosions, one-liners and destruction all around.

In short, was T3 a good Terminator movie? Not really. Was it a good action movie in its own right? I think so, yes.

I think T4 could be good if they just go all out with war against machines, no need for human-skin models just yet since Skynet is going on about total extermination for now.. it's only when the resistance begins to shape up under the control of John Connor that Skynet found it necessary to use human-skin spies to infiltrate its ranks. This has a high potential of destruction and fun, but also a big potential of epic fail. Wait and see, I think.

Along those lines: I really hope they don't go the uber-predictable route, where one of the good guys is revealed at the very end of the movie to be a human-skinned terminator, and thus the first of its kind.

From my understanding, T4 was billed as being post-Judgement Day.

That being said, I have a -STRONG- feeling they will tie it in with the TV show.

They would have to be pretty stupid to tie in a show that I'm willing to bet most people who know about Terminator don't know or care about the show.

But this is Hollywood.

I liked the ending of T3 as it was a sign of inevitability. But, I did enjoy T2 more.

For what it's worth, they kind of hinted in T2, as well, that the cycle was inevitable (Arnold's arm was left behind in the steel mill; they never got around to destroying Miles Dyson's files at his house, etc.).

T1 & 2 were absolutely amazing, just surprised there are people who didn't enjoy 2 more than 3.

I liked 3, was way better than I thought it'd be (total crap). The ending I thought was pretty bad ass, as it gave you that last little bit of false hope that "yay we can do this" but nope, inevitable afterall.

/shrug

Alien 3 > Aliens (A2), even Cameron isn't infaillible and trying to turn Alien into some cheesy army-recruitment movie certainly wasn't his brightest moment.

I have to agree, Terminator 2 will always be one of the best movies ever in my eyes. And that's even WITH me absolutely hating the kid that played John. From the very opening and the theme music it is just perfectly orchestrated from beginning to end. And the effects look amazing even today, for the most part.

The thing that I always liked most about it though was that, unlike a lot of other movies, it stayed true to its "realm of believability." Sure I have to suspend belief and go along with the fact that a computer takes over the world, and is trying to exterminate humanity, and people develop time travel. But within that frame of reference, every single thing in the movie made sense, unlike about a billion other movies I can name (reference the "Things that make you go hmm" thread for a few).

Terminator 2 should seriously be one of the top 50 movies of all time, but it will never happen.

It should be, Aliens (A2) was perfect.
A3 is lame for soooo many reasons, but i will just give one : 1 Alien

T3 was an Anathema.
T1 was nice, but it was the "starting", the cop station scene was godly.
T2 was just perfect, just perfect, and the GNR music made it even better.
